In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Happy Week-end everyone! We have had a beautiful stretch of weather these past few days...just loving it! I am up bright and early today as Jeff left and I wanted to see him off. I got to do something I *never*have time for...just made a cup of tea and sat out on the deck and read the paper for like an hour! So relaxing...and I never get to just do that, so I am already in a good mood!

Relax-mode will not last long though as today is the last day of baseball season (thank goodness) for two of the kids. So I will be at various games all morning. Little League monopolizes are Saturdays for 7 weeks, so even though we all love it, we also heave a huge sigh of relief once it is over.

I had a really good food week last week and hope to continue this week. Regardless of what the scale says (no, I haven't gotten a new one yet), my pants are all fitting more loosely than they did a month ago....so things are definitely happening, just at a SNAIL'S pace! On some higher level, I am sure that is good for me...a whole patience and perseverance type of experience or whatever...but it just pisses me off! :lmao:

For those in the loop (and if you are not, just PM me and I will give you the details...not trying to exclude anyone, just don't want to post it here), J and I had a deep talk last night and cleared through some stuff. The end result was that we agreed to disagree but I think we each have a better understanding of the other's perspective. We were able to have a fun family night before he left on this trip, so that is good.

Ok, off to wake the troops and get ready to be a baseball-Mom for the day! :goodvibes

So far so good. Still uploading my 30 day trial of Norton, so haven't done much yet.

But...the screen is so clear. The color is BRIGHT! A whole new world.:lmao:

Lyz I didn't know you got a new lap top I knew you were in the market. What did you get?

So stories of the weeekend........
HHHMMM it is only Saturday and we have had enough things happen. Thursday night we left for the BIG:lmao: city of Plattsburgh:rotfl2: to get my daughter a dress for class day(a day to make your parents buy you yet another formal dress to honor the SENIORS) There aren't many places to carry semi formal dresses mostly just DEB. So we are looking and she is picking up almost every dress that is either to short, not enough top, or just plain hideous. I found a dress that wasn't any of those things and She YELLED THAT IS GROSS YOU HAVE THE WORST TASTE MOM~:furious: :furious: I simply said PUT ALL THOSE DRESSES BACK ON THE RACK AND we will leave! She thought I was joking I told her again and walked out of the store! Which of course led to drama inside the mall, which I just ignored. I finished what I needed to in there and we left WITHOUT A DRESS! We left for dinner and then headed home........ When she realized that we weren't going back to the mall she went into hysterical crying in the car. I told her I am the one buying the dress and you will get something that I approve of, and the you look good in. have some respect for yourself and ME!:furious: I don't have horrible taste! In fact you always complain that you like my clothes and I never buy you anything like mine...but yet I have horrible taste. So as soon as the PRINCESS awakes we are going to look again for a dress as long as she gets up soon! I have to work tonight YUCK!
Lets move to Friday night Dh birthday!! We spent the day reviewing our mortgage information and trying to keep a five year old little boy quiet while on the phone with the loan officer. Then off to Sams club for lunch had a HOT DOG! I counted my points!!! We are leaving Sams and my purse is vibrating! I think it is the school nurse calling for Zac and No it is my step son, Can you come get me! WHY??? They are doing Class day practice and I am not going to class day so I don't want to have to practice it! Dh jumps in the car and goes to get him. We get home and I bake a cake for DH not any cake either a very high cal cake.(I was bad)( I tried to count it but hadn't a clue how too) Next DD calls and tells us that she is bring a friend home... Hello it is your fathers birthday....Ya soo was her response....:furious: So now I am cooking for 7 not 6 no biggy!

The older kids have a dance to go to so my expedition was FULL TO THE MAX. We had DD DS & 2 OF DD friends and the boys +us. I drop them off and tell My two BEHAVE + one of the friends because her parents don't care about her they let her walk all over at night!!!:furious: I tell DS don't get in any trouble because I will kick your a$$:rotfl2: (He now towers over me and weighs almost as much as me !!! )

Fast forward to 10:00pm the cell rings and I say YES CHILD WHAT DO YOU WANt expecting it to be my Step son and NO it is my daughter saying NATE GOT KICKED OUT OF THE DANCE AND THEY KICKED HIM OFF OF SCHOOL PROPERTY HE IS WALKING HOME!!!!!! :furious: We leave my moms and go looking for him (note he is also a diabetic) We find him and a friend sitting on the street corner! I said WHAT IS THE LAST tHING I tOLD yoU!! I didn't do anything wrong Stephie! I promise ! Well why did you get kicked out.... DH is seeing red:furious: ! Because I felt like I was going to pass out so I went outside! WHAT! So we went back to the school and the teachers said because he walked out of the school and didn't notify any of the teachers he was banned from the dance! And for that he had to leave school property! WHAT can't you call a parent? to come get him? So Dh didn't say much and I have to call the school monday morning to find out what happened because DS said one thing DD says another and I don't know what happened! All I know is the DS said that one of the teachers grabbed him by the arm and brought him to the door and said you have to leave and leave the property!! hello he is a 16 year old boy that has diabetes and doesn't feel well... And a teacher is grabbing him by the arm NO!! Call a parent find the nurse what ever ! Don't through a kid out into the street!:furious:
So now It is Saturday and I have had enough excitement for the weekend already and it is just starting. :headache:
I just hope that work is peaceful!!!

Hi Everyone...

Well, I am grateful that this week is over and the weekend is here. I am heading up to my parents' camp to relax and try and sort out the whole job thing before my meeting with my boss on Monday. Hopefully, the time away will give me some clarity on the situation. There is no change with my cousin other than we are all starting to come to grips with the fact that this may be a battle that can't be won. Someday, someone will have to explain why these really bad things happen in life because I am not getting it at the moment. For now, I am just doing a lot of praying and relying on my faith to get me through.

Have a great Father's Day tomorrow everyone. I will be spending it with my dad cooking his favorite foods and hopefully getting him out for a round of golf (that has yet to be seen). I'll check in tomorrow night to see how you are all doing.

Love to you all,
Goof

I know it is hard to deal with and I have dealt with it personally and it is very hard to come to terms with. All I can say is spend as much time with your cousin give them support and enjoy Life! And a big    for you!

I got a Dell something or other from Wal-Mart. Ispirion? It was an awesome price for a laptop, (I think) $498. It was in last weeks flyer.

Stephanie - I say GREAT JOB MOM on the whole Deb Dress Drama. Kid dress to the greatest extent in what their parents purchase for them. And we do have control there. Proud of you.

Regarding the dance, whoo boy. You better lay the school out flat. (Dawn, chime in here. I know you want to.) Yes, if he was "that bad" they should have put him in "holding" and called you guys. If an accident had happened, they'd be on The Today Show.

Love Sams Club.

The cake was fattening, but what flavor was it?

Paula - yes, that is a hard pill to swallow. How old is your cousin? Not that that matters, just wondering. Big hug for you.

Hubby took a long bike ride for the weekend, so my time is my own. I think we will go shopping. I owe Maddi a trip to the Build a Bear, and, well, just like being able to browse without the "man" standing outside tap tap tapping the foot.

Just got back from shopping and we found a dress that was mutually acceptable. Long enough for me and short enough for her, and enough top for the both of us I will post pictures soon. Also I really REALLY like the price I got it for $5.00 yes that is right $5.00. She got the dress, 2 shirts and 2 bras all for the bargain price of $26.00. She is some what happy.:cool1:

I do want to find out the WHOLE story but even if the boys had been in the wrong YES they needed to put them into an area and call us!

The cake was fattening, but what flavor was it?
MMMM Chocolate Confection Cake it is a devils food cake with a coconut filling and chocolate fudge homemade frosting! the filling has marshmallows and evaporated milk and coconut almost like an almond joy... In fact that is what I call it almond joy cake or mounds cake.

Hope the get away serves its purpose and you come back relaxed and with a focus! Hang in there!

Because without pain, we cannot know pure joy and without grief we cannot know compassion. Keep praying. We will, too.

So stories of the weeekend........

OMG--what a whirlwind couple of days! Keep us posted! And man, you must have been :furious: to use that so many times! :rotfl2:

I will be on tonight as well...because I am in freedom mode!

On your own for the whole week-end? Or just the day?

K--need the details on that deal!

Oh crap...now Lyz is gonna hound you for the recipe...:rotfl2:

As for me...good day! I am (get this) RELAXED! The morning was a bit crazy. I coached Kelly's team this morning...last game of the season. And they actually played WELL! As in, the really played the game the right way! If you know anything about t-ball, it tends to go something like this...half the kids are sitting down in the field picking grass and playing in the dirt while the other half (those that are actually paying attention to the game)...when the ball is hit...no matter where it goes...they all converge on it like cockroaches coming out of the woodwork! :rotfl2:

Well, today these kids were ON. The other team was up first and Kel was playing first base. The first kid hit and was thrown out at first (a BIG deal in t-ball to get a legitimate out). Go Kelly! One out. The second kid hit and got on first. So one out with a runner on first. The third kid hit a pop-up to first base...and my little peanut CATCHES the pop fly and then tags up at first...single-handed DOUBLE PLAY!!!! 3 batters, 3 outs! WOO HOO!

Ok, so you need to realize that I am the sports mom from hell. :lmao: Totally embarrass my kids, my husband and myself at all sporting events (have you figured out that I am a *tad* competitive???). Yeah, I am the mom who is wearing the jersey/hat of their kid's team...cheering like crazy...everything short of an air horn. So when Kelly got all 3 outs like that...I kinda went carnival ape crazy!

It was fun and the kids were super proud. It was a great way to end the season.

Spent the rest of the day at the pool club and stayed there for dinner and everything. Easy peasy day when I do that. They played the whole time, I actually read a book (for pleasure, no less) and played in the water with kids. Today was my one rest day for working out (I train 6x/week right now).

My bff just called from a club (in Ogunquit, Liz) trashed and having a blast and saying "You have to come out! Everyone is here!" Sadly, no one to watch my kids. My parents have bridge night tonight. The nerve! :rotfl2: While I am sure I would have a blast, I am really just as happy to stay home and enjoy having the house to myself (well, once the kids go to sleep...:rotfl: )

Ok...time to get those little buggers in bed. I'll be on AIM tonight.

PM on the way.

On your own for the whole week-end? Or just the day?

Today and the majority of tomorrow.

Oh crap...now Lyz is gonna hound you for the recipe...:rotfl2:

Umm, yeah, Stephanie, I'm gonna need that. Here or in a pm. K.

Our t-ball, doesn't even keep score. They just run through the batting order by the number on the back of their shirts and everyone makes a score. Then the next team does the same.

Well, today these kids were ON. The other team was up first and Kel was playing first base. The first kid hit and was thrown out at first (a BIG deal in t-ball to get a legitimate out). Go Kelly! It was fun and the kids were super proud. It was a great way to end the season.

So, I pretty competitive too, but since were not keeping score here, I've shifted my focus elsewhere. Maddi's team wears coral shirts. And I can't believe the shorts the mothers send their girls in. (all girl tball). Maddi has, black shorts, black mit and a black nike ball cap, which I tore apart my town for and had to eventually purchase in Columbus. So I sit and grumble about this. They are wearing any old thing. Drive me nuts.

Morning all! Thanks for the chat last night, girls! Fun! And Steph...:worship: :worship: :worship:

Ok, soI declared yesterday my "Day of Decadence" :rotfl2: ...I did not workout at all, I did not track, I splurged on food, heck...I didn't even work!

So today that means I have to get back in business. It is a dark and rainy Sunday here (which is fine as we need the rain), but that makes it SO hard to get up and get motivated. It just feels like one of those "stay in your jammies and watch old movies all day" kind of days, kwim? But I indulged in that type of behavior yesterday, so I have to hit it again today.

LIZ--hope your week-end is going well. Lots of pics will be required! Is it just me, or does Liz have more swanky, get dressed-up, high class events than anyone else I have ever known??? Which dresses were worn? The black? Or the Buffy doing Lunch at the Club?

BTW, our little Liz has been holding out on us. The dresses she is wearing this week-end.... SIZE 10!!!! Goddess! So proud of you and you look so great!

I will betaking pics of me later today or tonight for my next update shot. Probably not a great day to do it as I am feeling all puffy and bloated from my Day of Decadence. But I haven't posted pics in a while, so...it is time.

Ok...gotta get to the gym and then it looks like KungFu Panda may be on the agenda for the afternoon!

BTW, the following need to check in...

JODI--still walking? gym? We miss you when you do not post!

DAWN--come out of lurkdom and post! We do not care if you are off program. This is a place for fun and inspiration, not to beat yourself up.

KIM--I am officially worried! Am PM'ing you and hope it will go to your home e-mail so we can get you back here.

NANCY--are you getting your life back??? Are the goats escaping? Have the vandals been stopped?

Vicki--updates needed. Are things returning to normal for you? Are your neice and nephew doing ok?

Stacey--well?????? Come on! I think you are back from your honeymoon, right? Maybe not yet. It has only been a week! We need lots of pics and lots of details!!! So excited to hear from you!

Sarah--hope you are doing well and we would love to have you back when you are ready! Glad we could catch up the other night.

Liz - size 10! Total Goddess.

and yes, E, she does go to alot of swanky events. I think we have a VIP in our little group. She's a VIP in hiding.

last night = fun
this morning = slept in

Liz - size 10! Total Goddess.
TOTAL GODDESS!!!

Last night was great fun . Gee Erika thanks for the :worship:

As for sleep I was awoken at 730 with the sounds of two boys jumping on the beds and laughter, which I promptly yelled quiet for at least another half hour! I finally dragged my butt to the couch at 830. I laid there watching the WEDDING PLANNER trying to wake up!! I was a good girl I called my Dad and talked to him for a while made the kids call Dh at work. Now it is my turn to get ready to go to Work while they go to a BBQ at mom's house....HHHMMM Am I feeling a bit under the weather:sick: ::yes::? No I have to go to work!!!:worried: :( I will try to be on tonight even while at work! SSSHHHH don't tell anyone!!! :rolleyes1

Hi guys. Been a slow day.

Slept in.

Made cookies.

Did a little organizing at my office.

Weighed the hogs. (our 4H Hogs.) That is an undertaking. We have to get these big fella's into the swine scales and they are NOT interested. Here are a few current pics. Guess how much they weigh?

P1050615.jpg

P1050608.jpg

And yes, they poop everywhere when they are nervous. Good times. We have to have them weigh between 220-280 by the first of August. Hopefully at least 245, cause they can lose quite a bit on the way to the fairgrounds.

Any guesses?

Yeah, slow day. I am just getting caught up at my desk and BLARING tunes. Fun. Even dancing around my office! :lmao:

On the playlist for this evening (80s queens will love this...) let's see...Queen, Springsteen, U2, The Ramones, The Pretenders, BNL, and a little UB40 just for fun...

Hog guess...um...165?

So am I to gather that you had hog poop all over or around you as you tried to get them on the scales? Not my idea of fun. I am way to squeamish for hog poop. Oh yeah, that is a tag waiting to happen....

Question for December trip...

Looks like I could change our res from a 2-BR at SSR to a 2-BR BOARDWALK VIEW. That means we would have one of those balconies that is literally right over the boardwalk. Coolest location in all of WDW. BUT....SSR has the Spa and is walking to DTD. (And Goof and Kim are both staying at SSR.) Here is a pic of the location....see the balconies....yeah, one of those bad boys.

Boardwalk2.jpg

And just for fun...here is one of my and my bro circa 1977 (I know, some of you were not alive yet. F off. )

755090-R1-03-3_004.jpg

Ok, it is official...I am thinner than Britney Spears. Now maybe that is not saying much considering her current state...:rotfl2: But I just saw a bunch of recent pics of her on a website, and I was like...either the camera adds like 20 pounds or I am thinner than she is. I choose door number 2. :lmao:
