In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Not to much, but I might go back that way tomorow, cute contruction guys working on street, had to go by twice very very nice,:thumbsup2

:rotfl: you are too much!

Edited to Add: HockeyKat, where the heck are ya? Not 1 measly little post today? You'll probably be too tired after hockey boot camp. See you tomorrow.

Love your house picture perfect!!!! The little green envy guy came out but just a little. I would love to knock our house down and start fresh.
Keep up the great job with working out you are my idol :worship: really!!!!!

Thanks! So nice to hear! I feel like I don't know what the heck I am doing in terms of decorating. Yet another gene I was not born with...:rolleyes1

I went for a walk around town. It looked like rain so I thought, by the time I got home it would be raining so I better get it in now...

WOO HOO! This is proof that you have "flipped the switch!" You are SO ON IT!

Jeff and I get like that, too. In fact, it has become a game on Sunday mornings as to who gets up and dressed in running gear and out the door first! :rotfl: We know we need to get our runs in before church otherwise it won't happen.

Thanks also, Jodi, for your PM! The support I get here means the world to me!

I don't understand why you haven't had a nervous breakdown!

And for the record, I didn't see any tv's. I looked.

Now you sound just like all of my other friends! :rotfl2: I get a lot of "how the hell do you do it all???" type of comments. My answer is always the same..."It is amazing how much you can get done once you give up sleep..."

Seriously, though, throwing this much working out into my already packed schedule is really taking a toll....

As for the TVs....:lmao: yes, we have some. We have the "main" one in the family room (play room, whatever) which is something like 32" (I know, I know...Kat is going to die of laughter...) and it is the "old style." NOT a flat panel. Then in the master bedroom we have (waiting for more hysterical laughter from Kat) a 13". And in my office I have a TV tuner in my computer if I ever want to watch while I work. I got this machine in Dec. Still haven't set up the tv tuner... We don't watch much tv here. The kids have no time between school and sports. Our main tv viewing comes (1) right at the kids' bedtime, we all pile in our bed (king) and have family cuddle time and watch something for 20 minutes or so until it is time for the kids to go to their own beds; and (2) Saturday and/or Sunday evenings are family movie nights and we watch something from Netflix. That's about it. It is not that we are one of those militant anti-tv families...we just don't have time.

Erika, what about those commercials??? ;) You have to watch some TV to get something out of the commercials! We know the truth now!

Seriously, your house is beautiful. Like, totally.

Jodi, Rock on, girl!!!! So proud of your walking self!!!

Paula, let's hear more about the awards dinner! (Luncheon?)

Lyz, is Maddi any better?

Paula, let's hear more about the awards dinner! (Luncheon?)

Lyz, is Maddi any better?

The luncheon was very nice - even when the waiter dropped the tray of about 20 lunch plates behind my parent's chairs.... Fortunately, nothing was stained or ruined... They showed a video of the interviews they took of all of us and while I was nervous that I would sound corny, it turned out I had nothing to worry about. My sound bite was good, but the image of me seated on a stool was not something I want to see again anytime soon... my hips....:scared1: Trust me, I look much better standing up when I can suck in my gut.... We then were called to the stage to collect our awards and have our group picture taken. That was fun and the award is a beautiful piece of crystal, but mine needs to be redone because I guess they thought I should have been a man and left the a off of Paula. I guess I am meant to be in a man's world after all.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I thought my family was taking pictures, but they really didn't (the ones they did don't show much) and like an idiot, I didn't ask to have any taken after the fact (what was I thinking...:headache: ) All in all, it was a nice event and I am relieved it is over. I am not used to being the center of it all and seeing 800 people giving you a standing ovation is a little overwhelming...

So now I go back to being my normal goofy self, but with a piece of crystal with Paul written on the front... (and yes, they are going to replace it...)

Paula

Paula--fantastic! How incredible to be recognized for your awesomeness! Now, if they can only remember the whole estrogen thing....:lmao: Sorry they messed up your name!

She is still in hell from her work issue. She said that she would be dealing with it all day again today. Then she had 2 hours of hockey...which is great because she can get all of her aggression and frustration out on the ice!

I'm here. I have been reading off and on all day but never time enough to actually make it through a post.

But, I guess this is technically tomorrow. :)

Yup, was on the conf call from 8:45-5:30, again. Sigh. Then catching up on my normal workday until about 6:30, then on the phone w/ the vendor working through another issue. Whee.

On a good note, though, I had a nice convo w/ the boss-man. He is pitching it to me to take over the support role that useless-waste-of-space was (not) fulfilling. I was afraid of it being a demotion, but in a carrot-dangling move, he said he is trying to position me for team lead when the current one leaves (which, based on his track/ambition, should be w/in the next year). I think I might take it... it would make his life easier, make the line of business very happy (they like me since I work my a$$ off), and it would also relieve some of the development pressure that I have had lately in addition to all this other time.

Anyhow, Paul(a) sorry about the name mismatch. :) Erika, you are still a goddess. I feel your pain on the all-men thing, my Thurs night hockey I was the only girl the last 2 weeks, tonight there w/ 2 of us. Lyz, thanks for noticing my absence. Liz/Lyz, hope both of you are feeling better today.

Hockey just about killed me today (yesterday?), but hopefully that will result in a GOOD number tomorrow (today).

Hi guys. I've skimmed through the pages, don't have time to respond to everything now, but i will later tonight hopefully!

This week has been such a roller coaster, and TOM is here, so that does NOT help.

I paid off my honeymoon (well, disneymoon) that was exciting!

They ran some test on my grandfather, they found a small mass on his liver, and another on his pancreas  They couldn't schedule the biopsy until monday, he has been on blood thinners to they have to wait until that is out of his system.... i'm really hoping its not cancer :guilty:

On the positive side - Bruce was offered a job with the VA yesterday, it's great, a federal job and it almost doubled his current income. :dance3: Now we just have to grit our teeth and get through the next month or two of reference checks, background checks & federal clearances. Nothing to worry about b/c Bruce is squeaky clean, but just nervewracking, we just want him to START already. The "eh" news about this, now we have to move, so we are writing an appeal to our landlord right now to transfer our lease to another property they own about an hour closer. When will we most likely have to move? JUNE 30 :scared1: Thats right, less than 2 weeks after i get home from my honeymoon. That's cool, i have nothing to do that month anyway right? Wedding? WHAT wedding? :faint: We are BEGGING in our appeal to let us transfer for Aug 1.

There were a few things that stood out:

Dan - WELCOME BACK, we missed you! (and make that woman of yours come around more often, DAWN!!!!!!!)

Erika - i LOVE love LOVE that house, beautiful, and good lord, reading about that workout I'M tired, and i'm sitting on my lazy butt right now!

Lyz - i LOVE love LOVE those Mickey's!!!! That is such a great room

Paula - congrats on the 40 under 40! Don't feel bad about the name, one of my bosses received that award this year too, and they spelled his name wrong as well. I bet you were one hot mama up there!

I hope to be able to catch up on all of the missed stuff from this week tonight and this weekend. I will be back home all weekend at my parents, visiting my grandfather and meeting with some vendors. OH that reminds me, i need some help!! quick! (as in by sayyyyy noon saturday?)

I cannot for the life of my think of what song i'm going to dance with my Dad to, there are so many that i love (and yes, now that i'm so close to the wedding, when they come on the radio, i turn into a teary eyed, snot nosed two year old blubbering like someone kicked my puppy, this is getting ridiculous) Any reccommendations?

Bruce and I are dancing to "when you say nothing at all" by Allison Krauss, however it was a close tie with "i could not ask for more" by sara evans..... HEEEEELP i have to tell my DJ THIS WEEKEND *facepalm*

Brcs...
I looked up on google and there are thousands of sites dedicated to "father Daugter Dances."

But then I thought..why not put a touch o Disney in there...

I love the movie Tarzan..love that message of family and forever bonds...and this may fit for you...It's a message that even if you move on...the imact and heart of a person stays with you.. It really walks you through a small child relationship where a parent is your protector..to an adult moving on but the parent letting them know they will never be too far.
Be In My Heart lyricsBand: Phil Collins
Album: Tarzan Soundtrack
Song: You'll Be In My Heart

come stop your crying, it will be all right
Just take my hand, hold it tight
I will protect you from all around you
I will be here don't you cry

For one so small, you seem so strong
My arms will hold you keep you safe and warm
This bond between us can't be broken
I will be here don't you cry

And you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart
Always

Why can't they understand the way we feel
They just don't trust what they can't explain
I know we're different but deep inside us
We're not that different at all

And you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart
Always

Don't listen to them, cause what do they know
We need each other, to have and to hold
They'll see in time, i know

When destiny calls you, you must be strong
I may not be with you, but you gotta hold on
They'll see in time, i know

We'll show them together cuz...

You'll be in my heart
I believe, you'll be in my heart
I'll be there from this day on
Now and forever more

You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart always

Always...
I'll be with you
I'll be there for you always
Always and always
Just look over your shoulder
Just look over your shoulder
Just look over your shoulder
I'll be there always

I will keep looking....

Thanks to everyone for the kind words on my awards. The publisher who sponsored the awards felt horrible about the mistake, but it can be redone and life will go on. If that is the worst thing that happens to me this week, I think I am doing pretty darn good...

OK - not too much stress going on with you right now.... first off - congrats on the hubby to be's job offer. I will also have my fingers and toes crossed for him....

second - read your lease agreement. Most have a clause that if you have to relocate for work they will let you out. It is an added bonus if you are moving to a different property within the landlord's portfolio since you will still be giving him revenue....

third - I think there is a new Tim McGraw or Trace Adkins song out there about a father looking at his daughter. I think it is names "I loved her first". That might be worth some consideration. Whatever you choose will be fine. You will be there with your dad and he will be so proud and just beaming at you so there is no way you can screw that up... Yesterday, I got one of the biggest hugs from my dad after the award ceremony and that meant more to me than anything.... That's what dad's do... and that's what makes them awesome...

Have a great day and don't stress....

OKay, quick drive-by... I was -4.2 this morning, putting me at 166. Yay!!

OMG KAT!!!!!! Go, girl!!!!:cool1:

I danced to "My Girl" by the Temptations with my dad. Is your dad into music? Does he have a song he'd like or a type of music you could pull from? I picked "My Girl" because it was just sweet and old school classic Motown and my dad is a fan of all popular music from Motown on. It fit my dad, if that makes sense.

There are a ton of songs, but for this one, I'd ask your Daddy. (I still call my dad Daddy, can't help it!) Go with what fits the both of you.

Oh! and my MIL and BIL danced to "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)". I'm not sure how popular it is, but it's a nice option, too.

OKay, quick drive-by... I was -4.2 this morning, putting me at 166. Yay!!

Yowsa.... a 4.2 loss is huge...... Go Kat.... :worship: Go Kat.... :worship: Go Kat.... :worship:

All the stress you have been dealing with is kind of working for you... scary isn't it.... :rotfl2:
