In search of a good salad

I had the salad at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch and it was delicious!
This is my favorite thing to get there...with the ooey gooey toffee cake and a few fries off DH's plate.
I also like the house salad at Artist's Palette at SSR:
House Salad - Field greens, dried cranberries and blueberries, apples, and honey-roasted walnuts tossed with lemon-poppy seed dressing and crispy ciabatta croutons - $7.49
And the Cobb Salad at Earl of Sandwhich, but I get it made in a wrap:
The Cobb - Roast turkey, Swiss cheese, tomato, cucumber, cranberries, bacon over mixed greens and tossed in Buttermilk Ranch. - $5.99

I LOVE the bbq Chicken Salad at Flame Tree BBQ at AK- it's so good.

It's lettuce, tomato, carrots I think, grilled chicken - and a toasted pita.

It's tossed in a really yummy vinagrette.

Here's a photo but it looks better IRL:

The grilled chicken ceasar salad at The Land Foodcourt is also awesome!

My favorite salad on property is the build-your-own salad at the Beach Club marketplace. They give you a huge amount, choice of lettuce, lots of topping options, and you can get chicken and bacon if you want. Really good. I can rarely finish it in one meal. Great value. You can use a CS credit on it (plus you get a big dessert from the marketplace and a choice of bottled beverage), or I think it is $8.50 if you pay.

I love this as well but when I was at WDW two weeks ago and ordered one, the CM said that they would be switching to a generic chicken caesar within the week. Can anyone confirm if this has happened?

Also love the Taco Salad at Peco's Bill. It's so good, albeit not healthy. ;)

My favorite salad is the Chicken Mediterranean Salad from Earl of Sandwich. I had it twice on my last trip and have a hard time picking something different from there.

If so, it figures-just in time for me to go. I'll be there in about 3 1/2 weeks and I'll check. Grrrr! First the gelato, now the salad?

The Cobb salad at The Brown Derby is good. They used to have another salad on the Menu I loved served with a small breast of chicken. The salad was romaine lettuce with "Green Goddess" dressing. I never of green goddess dressing defore or since but it was good.

I know there's a Charlie Sheen - Goddess joke in this post somewhere.

IIRC, the appetizer salad at Captain's Grill still comes with Green Goddess dressing.

Oh, boy-the Colony salad, my favorite! And one plus is that it leaves me with just enough room to enjoy my Ooey Gooey toffee cake for dessert.

I agree 100% with this, this is probably the best salad I have had ever....I dream about it sometimes

Yes, this!! Our must "first day" lunch in MK. I need my Colony Salad!! And the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake!

I remember the salad at Liberty Tree Tavern to be great!!!

I agree with all of the above!!!! :rotfl:

I just started seeing how many people loved this salad and kept going with it!

I am not a salad person unless it is unique or has some substance so the BLT salad at Columbia Harbour House is a good one for me - greens, crispy chicken, bacon, egg, and tomato.

I like this one too- I need a little bit of unhealthy on my salads

The strawberry chicken salad at the Plaza is delicious as well!

YES!!!! This salad is sooooooo yummy!! One of my FAVES!!! :thumbsup2

We are big fans of the Cobb Salad at the Grand Floridian Cafe. We like it much better than the Cobb Salad at HBD which, in our opinion, is chopped up too much. We'll have to try the Salad at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Cobb Salad at the HBD is the best salad in the parks, in my opinion. I have had it on 2 separate occasions.

The BBQ Chicken Salad is another good one as well as at Yak and Yeti they have the lettuce wraps that are "salad-like" and really very good.

But honestly, they used to have an apple, grape, and cheese "salad" at AK at one of the carts that I wish they would bring back. That was the best snack/meal I ever had.

But yes, the taco salad at the new QS restaurant across from POTC in MK is the next one I am trying. Can't beat a good, unhealthy taco salad.

Brown Derby's Cobb salad is listed as an appetizer but is a large enough portion to serve as an entree. I love it enough to have tried to make it at home, but I just can't seem to get the balance of ingredients quite right.

On our last visit to the Plaza I regretted not ordering the chicken & strawberry salad. Someone at the table next to us ordered one and it looked amazing. Next time we're there it is a must-try.

Pizza Planet salads are just average, the sort of thing you'd expect to find in a grab-and-go case at a grocery deli dept. Not bad but nothing special. Same goes for Pinocchio Village Haus. Both made for nice, cool, refreshing lunches on hot days even though they weren't outstanding/unique/spectacular. Just a solid way to get a veggie fix.

I have to second the recommendation for the BBQ chicken salad at Flame Tree. It has been a long time since we were there but that still stands out in my mind as one of teh best counter service meals I've had at WDW.

I love the Cobb salad at the HBD- in fact just had it a couple of weeks ago- as mentioned it is an appetizer not an entree but since we never use the dining plan I have never cared. I also really enjoyed the salmon salad I have had at the Turf Club at SSR. I have also had a very good salmon salad at GFC.

I had a great salad at The Gasparilla Grille @ the GF last week. It had roasted chicken with mixed field greens, blue cheese, cranberries, and walnuts. Very delicious. I believe that there were artichoke hearts as well. Have fun!

We dearly love the Cobb salad at HBD. Something extra special about it, maybe cilantro?

Anyway, after reading this thread, just made a lunch ADR at LTT. We have never eaten there before and that salad sounds good.

Anyone know if we can get a different dressing with it? The pecans will probably be all the sugar I can tolerate, don't need honey dressing too.

That is my favorite too. The Chicken Caesar is so big that you can easily spilt it.

Pizza Planet - Your typical bagged salad and Kens dressing

Tony's Town Square Resturaunt - Amazing caesar salad

Peco's Bills - your trypical bagged salad

Plaza Resturaunt - I have seen a few of the strawberry chicken salads and they look incredible

Pinocchio's Village House - your typical bagged salad

I love any salads from the TS locations, they are excellent! Capt Cooks at the Poly has a nice salad with pineapple, blue cheese, wonton strips and chicken (although the chicken is a bit rubbery). LOVE LOVE LOVE the chicken blt salad from CHH in MK

Not sure if you've tried it, but there's a VERY good antipasto salad at the Pizzafari (who'd have thunk it!) restaurant in Animal Kingdom.

This sounds really good~ can you tell me what's in it?

I am not a salad person unless it is unique or has some substance so the BLT salad at Columbia Harbour House is a good one for me - greens, crispy chicken, bacon, egg, and tomato.

My DD's favorite salad! It's very good!
