In room dining on deluxe dining plan?

I thought you could use the Dining Plan for room service (for 2 credits) but we were told today by a CM that you can no longer use the dining plan for in room dining? I could swear we did it before... Did that go away on the new plan? (We are doing the Deluxe Dining this upcoming trip)

The Disney deluxe dining plan brochure lists in-room dining at most deluxe resorts. Plus pizza delivery at values and moderates (with the exception of CSR).
