In-room coffeemakers?

I recall reading early on when WDW was first reopening, that coffeemakers were removed from the rooms to reduce the risk of Covid spread. Have they been returned yet? We'll be staying in a BCV studio in late March. I can bring a small travel-size coffeemaker but I'd rather not if I don't need to.

I can pack vinegar to add to my attempt to “clean” the coffeemaker in room but suggest at least one with plain water & then I use bottled water for my actual coffee drink.
And last visit for POP breakfast... I ordered oatmeal (which was very good) and they gave me the brown sugar packets so I asked for extra.
The table display in pick up area by drinks was just the white sugar packets and whatever the healthy artificial sugar is.

DVC resorts have Mr Coffee type coffee makers (plus pouches of Joffrey's coffee). Usually 10-12 cup, but you might get a 4-6 cup coffee maker. If you get the smaller and want the larger, call housekeeping and ask if you could have the larger coffee maker. If you use your own coffee, you'll need flat bottom basket style coffee filters since they are not provided.

Thank you so much for clarifying this too, like you read my mind. I have flat bottom filters and V-shaped filters too and I pack both just in case. Lol. You can tell I’m a coffee addict. It’s rare to see the V-shaped lately. I plan to bring my own coffee and a scooper. We usually rent points but this time we booked direct so it’s easy to cancel if needed and it helps our TA a little. It’s nice to know we can request the full size coffeemaker.

Cleaning out with vinegar is a great idea, more so these days since they sat for months unused and resorts are still not back up to 100% normal.

Removing coffee makers was included in early recommendations from the Orange County (FL) reopening task force, but was dropped from the final recommendations.

we like to bring our own coffee. So im wondering if there are reusable pods i can use in the coffee makers especially in the Caribbean beach resort. Or i guess i can just open one)( its like a square teabag thats supplied in the room and use that. any suggestions?

Thank you

In your case, I'd bring my own coffee pot since you won't want to open the bag to put in your own coffee grounds. It could create a real mess.

So they still have the pot type coffee makers? I asked Disney chat this am and the lady said they had Keurig's now. Can anyone confirm what type is in the Saratoga Springs Deluxe studios? I was hoping to just bring some K-cups with me

It depends on your resort.

Saratoga Springs is DVC and only has coffee pots. Studio's often have a smaller 4-6 Cup drip unit but you are able to call mousekeeping and they will bring a 12 cup unit.

They provide Joffrey coffee filter / coffee packets but you could bring your own filters and coffee of your choice.

Thanks for the response. Ya that's what I thought due to the picture but the web chat rep told me different. Guess Ill have to call them to ask if I'm able to get a Keurig in my room. Honestly it would be more cleanly if they would swap them all to that IMO.

The only resorts I know for sure that have Keurig coffemakers are the YC ,GD, and AKL Jambo refurbished rooms. WL refurbed may have them as well. In the past I had to bring my mini Keurig if the resort did not have them.

It's not open yet, but Poly's rooms should have them when they reopen per the pictures.

I'm pretty sure they are in the rooms in Gran Destino Tower at CSR...not sure about the non-Tower rooms.

Tower Studios (NOT the Deluxe Studios) at Riviera have them.

Yep, added GD. Should have posted GDT. We stayed there when we evacuated from the coast and was happy to see they had them.

That's exactly what I'm planning to do at Pop next weekend. I bought my daughter a mini Keurig for Christmas and we're driving anyway so it's not a big deal to bring it and my own pods with us.
