I know that my room (GF) comes with coffee maker and I have seen lists where people say they bring coffee. I'm wondering if the coffee makers take actual coffee grounds or if they use the pre-made packets (like most hotels)?
Thanks!!

Coffee grounds with the small cup filter. I also always use bottled water because the FL water makes the coffee taste yuck to me.

They are currently switching over to Cuisinart coffee makers that make one cup at a time, straight into a mug not a pot, and use tiny round coffee packets that I haven't found for sale anywhere. We encountered these at BC (November) and AKL (December), so they may be at GF too. It's not like a Keurig coffee maker (which would be wonderful) - it makes horrible coffee. I hope they get enough complaints that they switch back to something more standard. We bought a small press pot to take on our next trip so we won't have to use the Cuisinart.

The new coffee makers are Cuisinart pod-type makers and they can make either 1 single serving or 2 single servings at a time. If you want to bring coffee you can use the Senseo pods in the machines. I find these in all the supermarkets around here so I'm sure you can find them too.
