In Room Celebrations

Not sure if I'm in the right discussion board but I want to plan something special for my son and my mother for our room. We are staying at the CBR in the Pirate room, and my son is going to be Captain Jack Sparrow for MNSSHP. I was looking at having something fun placed in our room before hand but wanted to talk to someone about it before hand. Has anyone done any of the in room celebrations???

Also I saw that you can have special made cakes either sent to your table or your room. I noticed a pirates chest cake that Disney made and I was wondering has anyone had Disney make a cake and then had it delieverd?

Was either of this things worth it? And if so, can you please give me advice as to how to do it???

We've used the in-room celebrations a few times.....Christmas stockings (even a Pirate), birthday basket, just because, etc. and were very pleased with what we received. It is so worth walking into the room and having lagniappe (a little something extra) waiting there for us.
