In Room Celebrations - Worth it or not?

We will be staying at POR this year through Christmas and I'm thinking of surprising our kids with an in-room celebration/delivery on Christmas eve (we would return for the night and it would be there). After looking at the celebrations I see there are so many set items, but I have 1 boy and 2 girls. Is it possible to customize these in-room celebrations with items I know they would prefer? Also wondering if they are worth the price or if there is a cheaper alternative that can give me the same wow factor.

We did one of the big in-room celebrations for my DS's birthday a few years ago. It was ok. Yes, there was a "wow" factor, but when it came down to the actual items we received, it wasn't great. I think there was a frame in our package I ended up using and I still have the banner stored somewhere, but most everything else went unused after the big "wow". You may want to browse the items on the Disney Floral site and build something yourself or even give them a call to customize. I just ordered some items for a friend who is going with her children. Instead of doing the big, in-room celebration, I did a Mickey balloon bouquet with a plush and two personalized ear hats. It may not be the same amount of items you would receive with an in-room celebration, but they will still be surprised when they enter the room and I'm fairly confident they will enjoy and use the items they receive. It was also about 1/4 the cost.
