For those of you who do in room breakfasts what do you buy? We are going to do this on our trip as I don't think it is necessary to eat out 3x per day and it gets a little old if your doing it for 2 weeks! I am thinking cereal, milk, juice, fruit, some cereal bars, muffins. Will also pick up bottled water, pop and snacks. Any other ideas?

Well, if you have capabilities of a small toaster, maybe Pop-Tarts & english muffins or bagels with jelly or cream cheese. Granola Bars, Kudos Bars. If you avoid the ones with chocolate, you can stick a couple in fanny pak for in park hungries. (Trust me-don't do this with chocolate covered ones!!!!!!)

Sam's Club had wonderful huge bags of trail mix the last time I was there that was SOOOO good. That would be a nice diversion with some juice for breakfast or a ziploc snak bag of it later. WM has some too but bags are about $1 more and I don't think it was same brand.

We used the toaster idea on our last trip in February 2002 and it worked out great! Some mornings we had cereal, others pop tarts, danishes, even the scrambled egg and ham danishes they make. It was a nice diversion from eating out, it was quick and inexpensive also!

Good luck!

If you have access to a toaster, ho about those Thomas's toaster waffles that aren't frozen? Buy or bring a small bottle of syrup, and you're all set. No refrig. or cooler needed to store these items either.

We always bring our breakfast food items, and pack them into our fanny packs before we head off to the parks in the morning. We do bring a number of items already mentioned. Additionally, we like dried fruit (apples, peaches, apricots), those little packages of crackers with peanut butter or cheese crackers with cheese, string cheese, and Cliff Bars or Luna Bars (or any kind of nutritional or power bar).

For the toaster - 1)Toaster Strudels -- better than Pop tarts any day of the week. My kids think they're a great treat. They have strawberry and cream cheese and fruit filled but also ham, cheese, and egg. 2)waffles

If you have a microwave - there are tons of frozen foods like sausage biscuits and Great Starts, but you can also make oatmeal and in the evening, popcorn.

We buy doughnuts, bear claws, dounut sticks from Little Debbie not to be confused with real doughnuts. Also Enteminnies(sp) crumb cake and danish. I find these with coffee or milk are great. We give ourselves the right to eat all the junk we want on vacation. LOL. The other good thing is none of these need to be refrigerated or cooked. These are open and serve makes mornings faster. :Pinkbounc ;)
