In room babysitting?

DH told me long ago that he has wanted to go to PI since he was 12 years old. I took this into consideration and thought about planning a kidless night out for the two of us. Then I started thinking about how a night out might mess up our scheduling for the week (cutting one day short, getting a late start the next day). So I kind of put it to the side. Well last night DH says something about his night out. I think he was kidding but it made me again consider planning a kidless night out for us. My question is this- we leave on Friday. I am considering having the kidless night Thursday the 28th. Is it too late now to reserve in room babysitting? When would it be too late? Could I do this on Wednesday morning (the 27th) when we know more of how our week is looking? Would it make more sense to reserve now and cancel if needed?

I would probably reserve now. If I remember correctly you have to cancel within 24 hours so I don't think it's some thing you go do last minute.
Have fun

Hi, I used Kids Nite Out for 4 children, ages 6, 5, 4, and 2. I called the the day before I needed them, and they were great. On time, no problems... I would definately plan to use them again.

Can I ask how much this racked you? :confused3 I have 4 (10,8,4,2) and was considering this one evening. You can pm me if you feel more comfortable.;)

I have not used KNO, but we used FairyGodmothers and we had no problems with reserving the day of, but honestly, I would reserve now if you already know the night you plan on going out. As long as you give them notice (whether it be KNO or FG), it should be a problem to cancel or slightly tweak your times.

Yes, they do. We used them one time when friends wanted to go to PI and we did not come back until aroun 2am. The woman we had was probably 60 and very grandmotherly. She brought games and the kids really liked her. After the kids fell asleep she was there knitting. ;)

Knitting! She is a true grandma!:thumbsup2 Do they post their rates anywhere?

I'm pretty sure that FGM is the same company as All about Kids -- all-about-kids.com

I'm planning on using them next spring -- it will be perfect to leave the kids playing at the pool while I get some adult only time! I've read nothing but positive reviews.

I don't think so. Fairy Godmothers is a family run business. The woman has been running it for more than 25 years.....

You are right, because out of morbid curiosity I called FGM this morning to ask them if they were affiliated with All About Kids and was given a very emphatic no.

Is this service worth all the $$$?! DH and I would love a night out to go to Epcot but to be honest it makes me sick to think of spending that..ya know? Am I the only cheapo out there? :rotfl2:

I guess it just depends on the person. I can be cheap on certain things, but for a night out with DH and the kids to be in capable hands, I didn't mind paying the $12 an hour.
