In Our Prime

Thanks for the vacation wishes.

I will be thinking of you as you travel to see your family, Snow.

i:lovestruc , I hear it is cooler in Disney than where we are (this is good for me!):cool1:

Sarah, if you turn up, I have missed typing at you! Hope you are having a great summer!

I hope was40 is having a fabulous time in WDW, today is Typhoon Lagoon

I'm meeting a friend from college today for lunch! I am so excited, she lives about 2 hours from here so we are meeting somewhere that is half-way for both of us. I haven't seen her in alomst 2 months!

I'm going to Niagara Falls with a few friends the weekend of the 31st  I'm hoping it is as fun as my birthday weekend was :rolleyes1

6 weeks from today I will be back at school (I move in on Saturday) :yay: I can't believe how fast this summer is going. I have something planned for every weekend for the next 5 weeks so I'm sure the rest of it will just fly by!

IT was FABULOUS! We got there at "rope drop" (they dont actually have rope drop at the waterparks, but we were there to open the place. We rode all the big rides with no wait at all, and then enjoyed the awesome wave pool for a long time. We left at one and just as we got back to the house it started to rain, but as usual, it didn't last long. There was thunder and lightning though, so I am sure they closed the rides for a little while.

I hope it is fantastic!:banana::banana:

UGH!:scared1: I am gasping. Summer cannot be going by quickly! I do not allow it!:mad:

We are having a wonderful time!

We did Hollywood Studios for 11 hours, and I can truly say I have now done every attraction in the park. I haven't eaten at every spot yet, though!;)

DH, DS and I were the actors for the Backlot Tour, very fun.
DD14 was going to audition for American Idol, but chickened out.

We got to ride the "biggies" TSM, Tower of Terror, and Rockin' Coaster two times each with no waits (fastpass helped) and then did all the shows and minor attractions.

IT was hot, but not unbearable, and no rain that day.

Typhoon Lagoon was a fun morning, and then we did Wonderworks and the Outta Control Comedy show (which was very good!) Yesterday was a wonderful day:thumbsup2 It rained for a little but didn't damper our fun one bit.

Today, we left Blizzard Beach at 3 (again, we did all the big rides without lines, DS and DD11 were number 4 and 5 riders of the day on the Slusher Gusher which is the straight down ski slope slide.)

We rode everything and played in the lazy river (two photopass guys in there today, I have six or 8 different shots from them from looping around so many times).

We had lunch there, and are now showering and getting ready to go to Downtown Disney and have dinner at House of Blues. Anybody want something from Goofy's Candy shoppe??:lovestruc

Hi everyone

We are off to the Animal Kingdom today:banana::banana::banana:

We have lunch reservations at Rainforest Cafe (we peeked in the Downtown Disney one last night, looks like fun!)

Forecast is 92 for the day:goodvibes (that could be me sweating!)

We are wearing our matching tie dye yellow orange red shirts today, very Animal Kindgom ish, and I have our neck coolers all icy cold in the fridge (DH hates lugging extra stuff around) (He will love that I packed us all a disposable rain coat for Kali River, too) tee hee hee:rotfl2:

I hope you enjoyed Rainforest Cafe, was40. We ate there during my birthday trip to Niagara Falls and it was sooooo good! I had the quesadillas and a Mango Tango (awesome drink)!

We enjoyed Animal Kingdom a lot! I used my volunteer day for fastpasses, and we just rode and rode! The girls rode Expedition Everest SIX times! The last two times they were the front seat! (I quit after three times, my stomach isn't as young as theirs anymore!)

Rainforest Cafe was neat!
THe Dinosaur ride was way wickeder than I remembered! (we haven't been to AK in several years)

WE all loved the Lion King show and Bugs Life. IT was a great day filled with photopass pictures (you will get a taste of those soon!)

On Thursday we met friends from home at Blizzard Beach. The day flew by with new folks to talk with in line and the kids all entertained each other. I got a little too much sun on my belly, but it feels fine this morning (whew):wizard:

More lathering with sunscreen today!

Last night we walked the boardwalk past and through Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club hotels and then went to All Stars to see the theming and take a few pictures there. THe girls traded lots of pins, so they were happy. DS held DD14 in a fountain, so she was NOT happy for awhile, but she got him back later and repeatedly.popcorn::

I sent you all postcards:banana::banana::banana:

Today (right now, DH is calling me to go) we are headed to Gatorland (didn't make it yesterday since we met up with friends and stayed at Blizzard Beach all day) then to Typhoon Lagoon for cool off, then to RIpleys tonight.

THe girls want to do some DIsney shopping.....and more pin trading.

Have a random day!:thumbsup2

How can it be Sunday already?:sad2:

We spent this morning at Typhoon Lagoon (we love that waterpark!) and are making a pitstop here at our "home" so I can get us "A" boarding on Southwest since we have to come home tomorrow. In 24 and 1/2 hours, in fact.:guilty:

Tonight we are going to Arabian Knights dinner show!

After I get our boarding passes, we are going to Happy Hour at Steak N Shake (so conveniently located near this vacation villa) for yummy milkshakes. This will be our third "happy hour" trip (they have it every single day!)
My favorite is special dark chocolate. I had the Butterfinger and the Hot Fudge something or other, but Special Dark remains the best!:banana:

Yesterday we spent the entire day at Magic Kingdom, and I still didn't get to do every single thing, so we will obviously have to come back!

Do you knowthis trip is the very first time I ever rode the Jungle Cruise? I enjoyed the corny jokes, and will have to add this to my list of fun attractions!

THe girls and I got Magical Pixie Dust sprinkled on us at BBB, so we glittered all day!:rotfl:

We did end up eating a very leisurely lunch at the Crystal Palace. Our server was awesome, and everyone ate way too much....

We were there at rope drop, so the lines were very short at first, but Space Mountain was up to 100 minute wait by the time we used our second fast passes.

We wore matching Pluto shirts, except the DD's who wore Miss Piggy volunteer shirts that say "Moi can do it, you can to!" My dad bought the shirts for them at the Cast Member store, and I haven't seen any like them yet. They have a little volunteer parade with Miss Piggy and Kermit on a car, and the CM's blocking the road for that LOVED the DD's shirts.

was40, thanks so much for the adorable postcard! Yes, it was a shame that we just missed each other.

So sorry I haven't been keeping up. Right before our trip, my Mom had an accident and has been in and out of the hospital since then. It was hard for me to leave. I discussed with my parents and they said they'd be upset if I canceled the trip. We had a great time and were in touch constantly. Thankfully, my sister was around.

I am so glad that you are all enjoying!! Keep doing so!!

How much longer will you be there?

Yes, the summer is going by fast!

I hope that you enjoy everything that you've got planned.

Vegas sounds exciting. I've never been there.
