Hi All,

A very good friend of mine is a dvc member and is giving us 5 nights at Animal Kingdom this November. She got pregnant and isn't able to travel and doesn't want her expiring points to go to waste.

I have the reservation number and everything but need to start pricing ticket options, dining options, etc.

Of course, DVC will very stringently NOT speak with anyone but the member. Is the pricing for park tickets and dining plan the same for DVC reservations as it is for regular reservations?

Will my member friend have to make the call with my visa and pay for those options for me?

I wanted to check the pricing of hoppers, options that include disneyquest, etc. and hate for her to have to do all the work for, especially being 8-month's pregnant.

Are there any on-line sources that list these prices or does anyone have recent experience with it that could help me?

Thanks a bunch!

The prices for the dining plans are the same as for the cash reservations. DVC members do not have to pay the seasonal surcharges however. DVC members can get the QS, regular DP and Deluxe DP. Your friend will have to call and add the plan to your reservation. It has to be paid for when you add it and needs to be added AT LEAST 48 hours prior to arrival. You can make all of your own ADRs.

You can purchase your tickets anywhere you choose. There is no requirement to go through DVC and in fact, Member Services cannot sell you tickets. If you buy from one of the authorized resellers, you can have the tickets added to your KTTW cards at check in.

Enjoy your trip!

Park ticket prices are the same. You may order them direct from the Disney World website or from a discounter like Undercover Tourist. DVC does not require you to purchase park tickets directly to add the dining plans.

The DVC member will need to add the dining plan to the reservation for you, and you will probably want to make the call together (assuming you live near each other), so you can give DVC your credit card info, as the dining plan has to be paid for at the time it is booked. Another option would be for you to buy Disney gift card and give them to the owner to use to pay for the DDP. Of course, you could always give your Credit Card number to the DVC owner, since you are friends.

we always get our tickets from Undercover Tourist...their prices are the best, the shipping is free, the tax is included in the price of the ticket so it's very upfront and they are very reputable.
in fact we got our seaworld tickets from them as well!

Another possible option for tickets is through your or your spouse's employer. If you work for a company that has a relationship with Disney, they may offer discounted tickets. My DH's employer does and the tickets were less than what Undercover Tourist was charging.
