In need of some pixie dust please!

Thanks :goodvibes

Well, thats the thing, I'm not 100% sure what the job is going to be! The position I applied to was for an office junior but he says based on my qualifications and skills I've learnt during a law degree, he can see several areas within the business that he could put me so I think he's going to see what the first few weeks are like and then see where I'd fit best :thumbsup2 I'll be working for a company that provides insurance to elderly and disabled people. Its a probationary period to start off with, so fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong!

Its my first 'real' job (I had one after work experience about 7 years ago whilst still at school but nothing since then!) so I'm really grateful for the opportunity seeing as I lack experience etc. Woohoo! :yay:

Make sure they don't take advantage, if you are doing a job more than an office junior they need to therefore pay you appropriately.

well done you. Agreat feeling for you. Let us know how your first day went. Sorry only just saw your thread. No pixie dust needed now. All done and dusted:happytv:

Thanks again everyone.

The original pay was meant to be minimum wage, so £5.93 an hour, but he's said they're going to take it up to around £1,000 a month (take home), just for a starting wage whilst they settle me in and then if I get a permanent position following the probationary period they'll adjust it according to suit the role I'm in.

I'm so EXCITED! And scared at the same time! :scared1:

Congratulations Kayleigh! :yay: wishing you all the best in your new job :goodvibes
