I'm going to disneyworld over spring break and I love collecting things, but I seem to have run out of things to collect! I want to collect something just over a two week period, my "collection" for this trip. I do not want to collect pins as I know I would became addicted very very fast. I want to collect something pretty cheap. but I've already done the disney beanies, pressed pennies (numerous times), postcards, and scrapbooking stuff. Any ideas? :earsboy: I'm from Alaska, so I don't get the opportunity to go down every few months:mad: but I make do, and like to make the trips fun by collecting something :earseek: :teeth:

You could collect pens maybe...then at least they would serve another purpose. Or Key chains..... Hmmmm I'll keep thinking and get back to you if I come up with something else.

attraction magnets? Pencils? or something I collect antenna balls

thanks for the replies! some good ideas, do you know how much (about) attraction magnets cost? and i love the keychain idea, but i forgot to mention that i've done that too:( great fun, but now i have many keychains floating around my room...about the antenna balls-how do you display them? besides the obvious, (car, which i don't have yet) what is there? and what is the price range for pens also?
i was thinking maybe some sort of lisence plates, but I'm not sure if there are many out there.
I'd like to be able to display or use my collection in some way. again, thanks!

How about collecting autographs??

We created an autograph book out of a sketch pad. On one page it had a picture of the character and the other page had room for the autograph.

It is relatively cheap and alot of fun. Here is a website that shows you some of the characters to look out for: A Guide to Walt Disney Characters

I will post some pictures from my last trip later (when I can get the webpage to cooperate :jester: )

Have fun!

Coffee Mugs from the parks or attractions are nice...

I do the pins of course, but everything Disney becomes an addiction to me. Snowglobes, Mickey stuff, etc.....
I started the antenna balls a few years ago and have quite a collection now.
I went to Michaels and bought some wood plaques. The ones with the carved edges. Just plain unfinished wood. I cut them not quite in half, one is wider than the other. Then I stacked them so there are two layers, like stair steps.
I also bought a few long wooden dowels and cut them and drilled holes in the plaque. I put the antenna heads on them.
I have them on a shelf now but am thinking about trying to hang them on the wall soon. Will try and post photos someday. Peggie

How about watches. They have them in every price range from 5.00 to 500.00 so give you a nice wide range.

I collect license plates, have for many years. I dislpay a few on my front windshield, rotate them every few weeks. After I retire them I have corkboard tiles on the back of a door, you hang them with push pins. I have them from the late 70's to the present. It is fun to see my 20 year anniversary next to my 30 year one.
