In Memory of MinnieLor (Lorie)...

I have set up a First Giving Page so that we have a place to make online contributions towards the Power of 10 GKTW Fundraiser in Memory of Lorie.

Lorie and her husband Glenn were both killed in the Joplin, MO tornado on Sunday night.

They had just returned from Disney World on Saturday.

I am hoping we can create something GOOD out of this terrible tragedy!

Why do all the comments for Lorie's donation page seem to be attched to Bryan Ripper's page from last December?
I thought at first we had raised a HUGE amount of money in Lorie & Glenn's honor. It's very confusing.

Sorry...this is confusing...

Should I set up a new page? This is the only one attached to my email address and I didn't think all of the old stuff would show up attached to Bryan.

Bryan got his hair cut last year for GKTW because we raised $200...and $200 turned into $2000 really fast...and more people have donated since then for other things...so that is why there is already money on there donated to GKTW.

The Lorie stuff starts with the donation I made last night for $10.77 (the $0.77 covers the First Giving website fee).

I guess as long as it all counts for the Power of 10 Challenge- it's all good.

One question though. If we are donating this way- how will the money be broken out to purchase the memorial brick?

I have "credit" for 10 bricks so far with GKTW...we have sadly used three for our DIS children that have passed away...so I have 7 left.

So I am going to go ahead and order a brick for Lorie as soon as I can get some time to get on the phone with GKTW. I have no doubt we can raise $200 to cover hers...if we can do $400, I would love to do one for Glenn, too!!
