In Living Color-who was your favorite character?

Homey don't play that!

Thats what Im talking about!!! :lmao:

My son got this shirt for XMAS last year - he knew the show from his Grandfather having the seasons on DVD:

First one that came to mind was Firemarshall Bill, but I loved Men on Film as well. :happytv: :happytv:

For you Firemarshall Bill fans, I hope this story is as funny in writing as when it happened. A friend of dh's used to do a great Firemarshall Bill impression. We were all at a wedding reception when an older lady set her purse on a table and the strap accidently fell on top of a candle and began to catch on fire.

This friend of dh's, without hesitation and in perfect Jim Carrey form, says "This is a job for the Firemarshall", picks up the purse and blows out the flame. :rotfl2: OMG! We laughed for days! :rotfl2:

I loved that show! Men on Film and Homey were my favorites.

I do recall the Love Connection --- Jim Carrey was Chuck Woolery and the dating couple were Mike Tyson and Robin Givvens -hilarious. But that episode is not on YOutube.

Jim Carrey turned his minor role in that sketch into a scene stealer. The FUNNIEST thing on In Living Color (look it up on YouTube) when Jim Carrey did Snow's version of INFORMER called IMPOSTER. He did the Popeye imitation...go to YouTube and look up "Jim Carrey, Snow, Imposter".

I'll never forget that episode where he is walking around with the big glass jar, with "urine like" liquid in it, with the pickle in it. Absolutely gross but so funny.

Yeah. But, It may have looked like a pickle, but I was never really sure what that was in the jar. Ya know what I mean!;)

I love In Living Color, and love all the characters already mentioned. But, my favorite is Jim Carrey's Venus de Milo. That horse laugh, and that teeny, tiny bikini with his chest hair. Hysterical!

OMG, I forgot all about Handyman! :lmao:

Homey the Clown

"Homey the clown, don't mess around,
Even though the Man, try to keep him down.
One day Homey will, break all the chains,
Then he'll fly away, but until that day,
Homey don't play."

Definitely Men on Film!!!:lmao:

I got my son the first season of this show and was just AMAZED at the SUPERstars that came from it.

During the final dance scene, one show had Jim Carrey, Queen Latifah (singing), Jennifer Lopez (Fly Girl) and Jamie Foxx all on one stage!!

Of course my son is a big Wayans fan and to see FIVE of them on one show was a thrill for him! He also loves the Disney Channel's Proud Family and Tommy Davidson does the voice of the father on that show! :lmao:

That show was a classic!

I learned a couple of months ago that Carrie Ann Inaba from Dancing with the Stars was one of the Fly Girls. I watched a few episodes and sure enough she was there. Also on P Diddy's Making the Band - the choreographer on that show was a Fly Girl, too.

I knew Carrie Ann looked familiar. Jennifer Lopez was dancing on a rerun early this morning and they had Heavy D and The Boyz closing the show, there was this guy who I swear looked like Diddy, but was just kind of dancing in the background. A lot of talent came from that show. I think the show would have a field day with the politics now and every thing else. They used to make fun of everyone.

I liked Men on Films and Homey the clown. That show was so funny.

Yeah. But, It may have looked like a pickle, but I was never really sure what that was in the jar. Ya know what I mean!;)
"Now,that's funny-I don't care who you are!"(thanks to Larry the Cable Guy) The pickle jar was so gross it was hysterically funny. In addition to the ones mentioned, DH and I loved that couple who used to say "and we're steel togetha", so romantically, while they were trying to do away with each other behind each others' back.

Wanda, no doubt. Remember when she wanted to have sex with the vampire and to avoid such a fate, he threw open the drapes to expose himself to sunlight and certain death? :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

She called her friend and said, "Girl, I done burnt up another one!" :woohoo:

OMG, Wanda! How could I forget "her"? "I'm rdy to go." And when she put on lip gloss. Headed to youtube!

David Alan Grier played this guitar player, wrote a little song, about it, like to hear, hear it go.

And this is messed up, but Jamie Foxx did this character and he would kind of shuffle and see someone and thought it was someone he knew when they were little and say I'll be John Brown and he would be pulling a stuffed "dead " german shepard by the leash.

Wanda and Benita Betrell (she ain't one to gossip, so you ain't heard it from her)

Men on... (at the time, all my good friends resembled them!)
Vera DeMilo
Bonita Buttrell (but I ain't no gossip, so you didn't hear it from me)

What's funny is that a couple of years later, I became a personnel coordinator for a McD's franchise. I did all the interviewing and orientations for the franchise, so I saw those training videos a LOT. Kelly Coffield was in several of the training videos for McDs back then, as was Michael Romanov from Blossom. I'd crack up watching those videos.
