I didn't have time to get one at home (too busy working, and none of the local stores had it in stock.) I thought I'd come to Cali and they would have everything here and a lot more choices. :rolleyes1
I'm looking for the Canon D10, Pentax optio W60 or the Panasonic DMCTS1. I prefer the Pentax or Canon, but can't find it anywhere. I called the obvious places like Sam's, Costco, WalMart, Best Buy. None of them have it. They all have the junk Olympus' or Fuji. If any locals have any idea where I can get one of these, please let me know ASAP. I'll be here until Wednesday. We've been going all over to San Diego and wherever. We have a car so distance is not a problem. After that I go to Vegas and wanted to use it at the pools in Vegas.
Thanks!

I have no idea if Target would have one, but there is a Target right down Harbor. I don't know how to give the directions other than to say if you walked out of DLR onto Harbor, you would make a right and drive a little ways to a shopping center on your left. (Sorry - I am not a big help)

I really have no idea but thought I would let you know that we have the olympus waterproof one and love it!

There's a Samy's Camera on Bristol in Santa Ana. That's probably your best bet. Santa Ana is just down the freeway from Anaheim.

(edited: sorry, misread your post and thought you were looking for cam housing. You're looking for those splash"proof" cameras. My post might still help tho! :) )

Hey DSF! What camera are you carrying right now? There are some dive shops in the Anaheim area that might have underwater housing for your cam. If not, you might be able to rent some gear. I'd hate to see you purchase another good camera that has underwater housing fitted for it - that gets pretty expensive! (I know, I have two complete systems!)

Here's a list of the closest places:
Sea Ventures‎
418 E Commonwealth Ave, Fullerton, CA‎ - (714) 871-2218‎

New Wave Wetsuits‎
1110 E Ash Ave, Fullerton, CA‎ - (714) 744-1365

Pacific Wilderness‎
360 S Tustin St, Orange, CA‎ - (714) 997-5506‎

Then there's camera shops (other than the major chains):
Kani's Camera‎
1428 E Katella Ave, Orange, CA‎ - (714) 633-6035

Kittyskyfish,
Thanks! Actually your post is a great help as well. I originally thought about getting an underwater housing. Right now, I have with me my Nikon D90 and Panasonic TZ3. I'll give the store you listed a call and see if they have anything for my existing cams that don't cost 2 arms and a leg! :rotfl: I originally was thinking about getting the housing for my Panasonic but again didn't have time to order it before I left home. So sad that no one where I live sells this stuff; but I was really surprised when I got here and looked through the yellow pages phone book and couldn't find anything.

To the other posters, thanks for the info. I know where Target is, so I will check them out as well if I can't find anything at the other stores listed.

Thanks all! I appreciate you all taking the time to answer.:goodvibes

Thanks, which model do you have? My problem with they Oly stuff is that I've heard conflicting accounts bout their optics and they use XD cards! I didn't bring the 1 camera I hve that uses XD cards, or the cards for that matter. So that would mean having to buy more. :( However, if the optics are great and I can;t find anything else I may just have to go that route. Do you have any pictres you could post that shows stuff taken underwater? Thanks for the suggestion!

:yay: Thanks so much for the info! I'll give them a call later today.

We have the stylus 850, I think they have updated the model. I don't know about optics and stuff but the pictures are nice and clear. It does use XD cards. When were were at DL we had to find another one and that was a huge challenge. Good luck with your quest! Sounds like a housing for one that you brought may be the way to go if you can find one. Have a great time!
