Perhaps I should have posted here first. Whats with the "in crowd" attitude around here? I posted on a thread and said when we were going and asking what to expect during the time we were there (the thread was on the MVMCP and I was asking about what to expect) and 2 days later not a peep from anyone. Not a hello, not a welcome, not a get out of our boards, just nothing. Is it cause I am a guy? I noticed all these mothers on the boards so is it cause I am a father? I am confused and just want to find out why the lack of response from what appeared to be a very nice place. I have been reading the boards for weeks now and thought I would for sure get someone to help out or at the very least smile and say hello and point me in the right direction.

Sorry you've had a rough time but don't let it get to you. Just keep posting and you'll get responses. :thumbsup2

Oh...and

:welcome: and we are glad that you are here.

I would suggest that you post your question again by starting your own thread. People tend to only read the OP (original post) and maybe a few of the answers before they either wander off if it was already answered or post their own opinion. Questions asked later in the thread tend to not be seen.

You might also do a search on the Theme Park board to see if your question has been answered recently as sometime people won't respond if they feel they just posted the same information elsewhere.

We do have a Disney Dad's Forum found within our Disney for Families board where you might also want to post. While we do have a lot of female members there are actually quite a large number of men that frequent our boards. Sometimes it is not actually clear if someone is male or female even when they have been around for a long time.

There is very definitely an air of "in crowd" here, but that's not so different from any other forum that has many, many members. (And no, I'm most definitely not part of that crowd. ) However, there are a LOT of very knowledgeable people who have all sorts of useful information, well known and esoteric, to help you with Disney. Some of them are a little testy at times, but once you get past that -- mostly good people.

I'd volunteer my input, but Mrs. Tex and I still have our first trip to the World to look forward to. Good luck, happy posting, and howdy from Austin. :goodvibes

There have been a number of times I haven't gotten a response to a question. I'm a woman and a mother. There are many men and many fathers on this board. If you posted in a thread that was already started chances are the people who can answer your questions are not reading the thread. You need to start your own thread and see what kind of responses you get.

Try again, you'll like it!! :thumbsup2
