I ordered personalized temporary tattoos for my 1.5 yo. They are very cute, mickey design, with my phone number. I'll probably put it on the inside of his arm, so it's noticable, but not conspicuous.

Where did you find the ones with Mickey on them?

We always order the silicone bracelets online and I put them around my kids ankles so that they don't slip off. They don't seem to bother them at all when they're around there ankles, I just put them over their socks. Hope that helps!

We did this exact same thing. Worked very well. Thank goodness we didnt lose one but it felt good knowing they had that info on them. Saving them for the next trip!!

I second Sharpie to the Forearm. It doesn't get lost and it wouldn't be a bother to kids who have to fidget with anything on them.

When my family went to DL last year, we got personalized temporary tattoos, then we set up google voice so that if the number on the tattoo was called it would call everyones phones. That way if one person had poor reception or was on the phone, there would be 4 other adults also getting the call.

The google voice idea is brilliant!!!

contact info really isn't near as important as knowing where a CM would bring a lost child as well s teaching your children what to do if you get separated.

With young children go to a mom with children - bigger small children to a CM. Once a child is a bit older you can say if we get separated we meet at this location (my family always met at the carousel).

At MK lost children go to city hall (last time I checked), at each park there's a different location. As a parent missing a child quickly look in the immediate area, if possible have one person stay there, and the other go to a CM to report the child missing. Disney works fast and most of the time your child will be found before anyone looks at the identifying tag let alone calls you.

With small non-verbal children it could be useful - but you give your children a lot more power if you let them know how to take care of themselves vs. tagging them.

So glad you said this, these are my thought exactly. Putting contact info on a 2 year old is one thing. If you think your elementary school age kid will freak out and freeze in a stressful situation you haven't done your job as a parent!

Everyone has such great ideas! I hadn't even thought of putting contact info on him. My son will not wear a bracelet, but it's brillant to hook an ID to his belt loops or shoes. I love the tattoo idea too. I don't worry about my other children...they all know our phone numbers or can learn to go to CM for help.

We ordered bracelets off of etsy that have our cell phone number on it. I figured if either child won't wear it on their wrist the I can put it on their ankle.

We are doing the dog tag in the shoe. We put both my husband's and my name and cell phone numbers on them. My kids both wear velcro shoes, we just used a small zip tie and tucked the dog tag under the velcro straps. We told the kids only show them to people if they are lost. We will show them what a CM looks like when we get there.

We use the mables lables id bracelets. The tatoos are awesome too though. We also do the run down of who to look for when we get in the park but kids are still little and I always tell them worse case find another mom with kids. "moms know how find other moms"

I'm too paranoid I guess when we do big crowd events I write ICE : followed by our cell numbers in sharpie on my lil guys tummy. I'm not taking chances with things that can be cut off or washed off easily..

I made these id tags up and plan to have them laminated and then pin on to the back of my son's shirt each day. I made them a 3x5 but I am sure you can shrink them if you want to. Please feel free to use them if you like.

I added the medical info line so you can add allergies or special needs your child may have.

Years ago, we were told there was a problem with child abductions in theme park areas, and that one method to identify children was to check their shoes, as it is an item that was overlooked when trying to change a childs appearance. Putting an oversized tee shirt on is an effective deception, but rarely are the footwear noticed. We bought loud, neon colored shoelaces for the sneakers. The kids thought it was cool, the parents thought it was recognizable. Everyone was happy. Thankfully, as far as we know, the incidents did not last long.

My son is autistic and mostly non-verbal, so I have a dog tag from Road ID that I have him wear when we go on vacation or 'field trips.' I have his name and condition on it, as well as my name and cell #.

These are what my kids wear on the backs of their shirts:

They are approx. 2x3 labels. When you peel off the label the back side reveals my child's name, our names and cel phone numbers. This way our info stays private unless there is a problem.
