HI :wave2:
I wondered in any techie people can help ,we have a cheapie in-car portable dvd player with 2 screens bought from Argos, now it works obviously by an in car charger, is it possible to buy a battery so that we could take it on our flight to florida in oct , just in case no back seat tvs and too far from tv screen.

Thanks a lot.

Does it already have a rechargeable battery or is it a direct plug into the car? If there is no rechargeable battery you are unlikely to be able to adapt it.

Claire ;)

If its the Venturer or Acoustic models, as Claire said they don't have rechargeable batteries.

Therefore you would require 12V batteries to take on board.
You would need to get at least 2 hours out of it as well, and really want more if it's to be worthwhile.

In theory it's possible, but not practical I'd say.

If it's another make with a rechargeable battery then replacement ones should be easy to come by and these should give you about 2 hours typically so the original + one spare would be reasonable.

Thanks very much for your help, it is an acoustic model and i had tried their website but it wont let me on at all , something about special access needed, oh well never mind, travelling with TCD and might just see if we can hire their personal dvd players, i have heard from the DIS that you can do that.
Last time we went with TCD it was a tv screen in the aisle from the roof, and my younger DS couldnt see cos of where he was sitting and we couldnt move seats either,so thought this might be an idea to solve this.

thanks anyway
