OK, here's the background info:

I've been to WDW 14 times, twice after starting a family. I need to go to Costa Mesa, CA for training in July. Since it is right before our 10th Ann, I decided to bring my wife along. (We've never been to CA)

My company is picking up my airfare, hotel in Costa Mesa, my meals, and a rental car. That immediately meant one thing to me, night(s) in Disneyland.

Here are my questions:

1. Does DL offer discounted tickets for entering after 5PM? (my guess is "no", but I need to ask.

2. What are mid-week nights like in July? Crowded?

3. 1 night, multiple nights?

4. How easy/bad is the drive from Costa Mesa? It looks easy on the map, but I have no idea about traffic.

5. Any place I HAVE to see or eat at (given the shortness of my stay)?

I'm headed to WDW with the whole family (including my brother and parents) in Sept, but I wanted to see DL since I was all the way out there.

Your input is appreciated. Thanks!

1. That would generally be a no. Though they have done this in the past during the Christmas season (mostly so people can come in and shop), they haven't for during summer that I can recall.

2. July will just plain be crowded, evenings, afternoons, mornings.

3. I'd suggest more than one if you want to really see DL--be prepared to close the place down.

4. This isn't a route I drive, so I don't know for sure, but you're bound to hit some traffic.

5. Given the shortness of your stay, I won't give any have tos for eating, but try to see Indy, the Matterhorn, Pirates (so much better than WDW's), the fireworks, and some of DL's other unique rides like Storybookland, Alice in Wonderland, and Pinocchio.
