Arrrggghhh! I HATE this part of losing weight! My size 22 jeans are too baggy but when I try to put on my size 20...:crazy2: I wish I could find some size 21 jeans!:jester:

The two pair of jeans that I own now are to big and I refuse to buy and pair of jeans bigger than a 16. I can fit into them but sitting would be another thing altogether. I have found that my DH's jeans fit great. I don't think he likes that.

I totally understand!!! My size 22 stretch jeans are way too big in the thighs for me now!! But, the waist of the 20's are too small for me right now. Luckily I found a couple of decent pairs of black pants for work that fit nicely for now. They are starting to get a little baggy, but will still work for the time being. Maybe in a couple of weeks we can make it down another size :)

I absolutely can relate to this! I also hate that different manufacturers have different sizes....(a size 12 Tommy Hilfiger is not the same as a size 12 Lee or Levi.) I wear a loose 14, but most 12's, with the exception of Hilfiger are tight...I sure wish they had universal sizes, why can't all size 12's be created equally?!

When it comes to clothing sizes, the more you pay, the smaller size you wear!

When buying Lees and Levis, you will need a size larger. If you buy Hilfiger, you can usually buy a size smaller.

When I shop at Walmart or Target, I have to look for large 14s or 16s, but if I shop at, say, Bloomingdales (yeah - right), I can wear a 12!!

I don't know why that is. My co-worker says you pay for vanity. She could be right!::yes::

I've noticed that too, Rhonda. Also, Lane Bryants sizes are different, too. Size 14-16 there is like 18-20 in stores like Penny's. It surprised me to learn that :)

Being in between sizes while working toward goal is proof of our success, a little frustrating but still....it's sort of neat to be able to say that those jeans that fit a while back are too large now. :teeth:

Went to lunch with my co-workers yesterday. It was my day off and we are closed during the holidays, so I wanted to actually eat lunch with them. I usually wear uniforms and had my regular street clothes. My good friend was walking behind me and said I needed to buy new pants the ones I had on were too big! I laughed and said THESE ARE MY NEW PANTS. I just bought 2 pairs of jeans like 3 weeks ago. Not able to go down a size and be comfortable just yet, so I guess my butt will just look baggy for a while. Better baggy than too tight!:earseek:

I've suggested this before. Consider altering your favorite items. It is often cheaper than buying something new & if you have a good tailor, they can adjust each piece to fit your changing shape. I found someone who alters my skirts for $5-8.00 each and since I'm such a good customer, he is really willing to work with me on prices for multiple number of items.

sueg, that's what I'm doing, except DM is doing the alterations. Much cheaper. I only wish she taught me to sew.

I wish I knew someone like that, around here it's cheaper to buy new. The problem I find is not just being between sizes but also being a weird shape so that if something fits on one part of the body it doesn't elsewhere. For example the top I am wearing today is baggy at the top and across the shoulders but tight around my middle! No matter how much I shop around I get similar problems.

Sue

I've noticed a big difference between sizes 22 and size 20! 22's are ample and 20's are slimmer, (both Levis').

I think the same for 14's and 12's - I haven't been to the lower numbers to relate to those.
