In and Out in a Day

Morning Girlies,

Nan ~ I am over the moon for Marisa. She will be such an asset to the department. Good for her!!

PIO ~ I totally agree - but it is only Friday morning here. But close to the weekend. Why is it a 4 day week seems like a year. :rotfl:

Marilyn ~ Are you cool yet? I am right there with you - Mom would have been in SERIOUS trouble.

It is a beautiful morning out. A bit on the cool side. Only suppose to get in the low 80's for the weekend. I will take that and no severe weather. I think the boys are going golfing - surprise surprise - so it should be nice.

Make it a great day and a GREAT weekend!!

She hasn't called yet to let me know that they've been there. I think the morning window is 8 to 12 so we have a little more time yet.

I am at my nice, chilly, office. :thumbsup2

My DM has a TAD bit of OCD. :rolleyes2 Any time anyone is coming for anything she has to clean half of the house. Like the repair people are going to know or care that the living room floor hasn't been vacuumed since last week.

Scratch that, apparently our appointment was for any time after 2! And they are still not there. Of course I call my DM for a status and she tells me, "It's not that bad in here, it's only 80 degrees". :sad2:

And she's been doing laundry which means she is using the dryer so I am sure the family room, the washer and dryer are in a closet area in the FR, is nice and warm and humid. :headache:

AC all fixed! They didn't get here until almost 6:30 and weren't done until almost 10. :headache: Apparently lots of AC' s needing repairs and they start work again at 7am. :scared:

Afternoon Ladies,

Glynis ~ I so hope you are having a good time in DL.

Marilyn ~ AC is good. As I have said before - I don't do heat well. Glad you got it fixed and are now cool.

Well, I am going to be gone for the rest of the week. I have so much to do today, but I couldn't leave without telling you all goodbye.

Tomorrow I have to go into Omaha for a Dr. Appt. With Omaha being 3 1/2 hours away it is an all day thing. My appointment is at 11:30 am and after we will go to Cheesecake Factory for lunch. I can't wait!! I have some shopping to to. I need some new summer outfits. Then we will head into Lincoln to take Matthew out for dinner then head for home. A long day but it will have some fun in there also.

On Wednesday, I am headed to Boulder CO. Marty is the best man in his best friends wedding and I am going to take care of Lilly. The kids asked me if I would go and I jumped at the chance. This will give them some fun time without worrying about Lilly and I will have 4 days of pure bliss with her. I am really excited. Plus it will be nice to get out of Dodge for awhile. I will be back on Saturday as Pastor Tess' farewell party is on Sunday.

So you all play nice while I am gone and I will be back here on Monday.

Make it a great day all.

Hi girls! I am going to be spotty this week as well. I am committee chair of out Relay for Life Luminaria Ceremony, and I am worried sick. I have never even seen it, so I am blind. the event is Saturday. Please keep a good thought for me. The committee chair for the survivors dropped teh ball so Marisa and I stepped in. We have to manage to pamper at least 100 survivors properly, and by Saturday. i wish this was my committee, this is where I shine. Not the Luminaria, where I am not so confident

Ellen- I am thrilled that you are getting so aca with your precious baby Lily! have a blast!

I also want to let you all know I chatted with Kat. She gets her offer in Thursday and is very nervous. Please say a prayer that they offer her what she is worth.

welby made me the most delicious upside down pineapple cake martini! I better find dinner!

Stay cool everyone!

I'm going to be spotty for this month. Busy period at work. I will still be checking in. So I'll apologise for my short one-line responses now.

It sounds like its a busy time for everyone, but really when isn't it!

Ellen- enjoy the time with Lilly, I know you will.

Nancy- thanks for updating us on Kathy. I know she's stressed, but that's what we are here for. I love how much you and marissa do together, you guys will do fine.

PIO- hi!

Well today is my Saturday and I get to spend it getting a filling repaired. Woohoo. Oh well, I'm the first appointment of the day so at least I get it out of the way early. Have a great day all.

Hi Girls! Sorry that it has been so long, but last week was CRAZY! Saturday was our Relay for Life event, and my family all has places on the planning committee, so the week was filled with running around, nerves and more running and nerves. I have to say that the entire event was awesome, and so far we have $112,000 logged in. This was not our goal, but there will be more coming in.

Anyway, jumping back in! Today I have to reclaim some of my house, and maybe the yard, as well as return all of the coffee equipment that was lent to us. And take a nap. :lmao: because I am not a spring chicken anymore!

HI girls,

Nan ~ I am so proud of you for all of your work for Relay for Life. Wow $112,000 is amazing. You deserve your nap, I hope you are sawing away as I type.

PIO ~ Hi my friend. I know you are busy, but pop in when you can.

Robin ~ The dentist first thing in the morning is awful. I hope it wasn't to bad and you are feeling better.

My weekend was just about perfect. Boulder CO is a beautiful town. I really want to bring Doug back. He would love it. Lilly was a perfect angel. I was in heaven being able to spend so much time with her, we had such a great time. I am a bit lonesome today.

Weather is HOT hot hot today. Suppose to be even hotter tomorrow. The corn is growing right before your eyes. Love it.

Make it a great day all.

You make me smile everytime you talk about your Princess Lilly! There is something so very special about grandchildren. I love my little ones, and so I picture you with your little ones!

Morning Girls,

I am on hold - have been for almost 45 minutes - with a vendor. They keep coming on every so often to let me know they are still working on it. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

Nan ~ Thank so much!! She is so much fun. I love this age. Her expressions are priceless and her jabber is precious. Love it!!

I called the specialist about my abscessed tooth this morning. They have to have $1835.00 up front. Are you kidding me? :furious: I have insurance but they still have to have the full amount, then they will reimburse me the difference. I was so upset that I just told them I would have to get back to them. That is ridiculous. The pathetic thing is I have to have it done. WOW just WOW!!!

It is suppose to get to the 100's today. But then will cool off into the 90's tomorrow. But there are clouds in the sky so I hope there will be some rain real soon.

WFDT ~ Beef tips, garlic mashed potatoes and tomatoes and cucumber salad.

Make it a great day my friends - I am really trying to do just that :worried:

Ellen- that is crazy! The entire thing upfront???? They know exactly how much your insurance will cover and most likely can have it sent directly to them, so this is not okay. Buddy's dentist..notice I did not say my dentist?...tried that bull with me. I told them not a chance, if they wanted upfront money, they could take the time to to a predetermination of benefits, which would detail exactly what my insurance would cover and the balance that I would be responsible for...which I would then pay upfront. If that was not satisfactory, Buddy would get his pearly whites cared for elsewhere.

I hope that this is resolved soon! An abscess is the worst!

Ellen- that is crazy! My broken filling wasn't even bothering me, it showed up on an X-ray. Still cost me over $100 after insurance. Sometimes I wonder if the insurance is worth it. I hope the price is the only painful part of your tooth.

Nancy- glad relay for life was a success!

It's not great weather so I'm staying in today putzing around the house- perfect way to spend my day off!

Hi, everyone! I'm back (actually we've been back since Saturday, but I'm just now getting over the post-Disney funk)!

Our trip was amazing, with a couple of really big adventures! I'll be sure to share them all with you, but right now, I just wanted to check in, let you know I'm back and ok, and then head out the door, again! Jacob has band camp, the little girls have summer reading, and I have to get Katie to the library so she can do some research for the 2 research papers she has to have done for the first day of school for AP Art! Whew! I thought summer was supposed to slow down! Not yet!!!

I'll be back sometime this evening to let y'all know how our trip was.

Just a quick check in myself. 18 days left in this month and my project launches at the end of it! :headache: :faint: :cool1:

Good morning,

Nan ~ I totally agree. This isn't my dentist but a specialist he sent me to. I have done 10 days of antibiotic so right now it feels fine. I really don't want to have this done. They have to go into the side of my gum and cut the root off. YUCK - sounds awful. We will see how it feels - if it gets to bad I will have to do it. But I sure am not looking forward to it. They would not budge on the money.

Robin ~ I hope you enjoyed your day off.

Glynis ~ Welcome home. Can't wait to hear all about your adventure.

PIO ~ You can do it. The light is at the end of the tunnel. So proud of you!!

It is cooler today with the temps only in the high 80's. Will feel wonderful after the 3 - 100 degree days. It is forecasted for rain for the next 4 days. We haven't gotten a lot of rain but a heck of a lot more than last year.

My new Pastor is due to be here in 2 weeks. I am so nervous. You all know me - I don't do change real well. Plus I am really going to miss Pastor Tess. She is a friend that I will hate to say good bye to. Pastor Dyton is from Kansas and a Technology Guru. That in itself is a bit intimidating. I know a lot but I hope he doesn't come in and expect me to know it all. I have met both him and his wife. This will either go 2 ways - we will get along fine or not. I love my job and I really don't want to have to go somewhere else. Oh well it is what it is. Now I am just rambling - sorry!!

Make it a great day.

Ellen - I wish you well with the new pastor. Knowing you, I think you'll be fine. WOW on the tooth! So sorry about pain and the pain of a different kind ($$$)

Glynis - Welcome back.

Nancy - That's amazing! Well done on Relay.

17 days to the end of the month.

Ellen- I understand your concern about the new pastor. Our supervisor is thinking about retiring and it's scary to think of someone new coming in. As far as saying goodbye to pastor Tess, keep in mind we are friends and have never even met. Of course you won't be seeing each other as much but I hope you two remain in contact.

Glynis- I can't wait to here about the trip! Just getting to Disneyland sounded like a fun adventure. That really stinks Katie has ap homework over the summer.

PIO- I don't want this month to ever end and you've got a countdown going. Next month I will have a teenager! Yikes how did that happen so fast.

Have a great day all!

Robin - May June be everlasting in your part of the world. For me, I just want to survive to the end of it. :lmao:
