In and Out in a Day

Glynis- what is king ranch chicken? It sounds like something we would like.

Nancy- good luck getting back in some sort of order. You will be done with school before you know it.

Kathy- I'm still posting from my iPod and it's a pain so I don't do it as often as I should. I'm sorry to hear about Kyle's friend.

Off to the grocery store, it's snowing AGAIN and I want to get my errands done before I have to brush off the car. I'm so sick of snow, its not much but I'm so done with it.

Thanks to all for the kind words for my boy. Hoping after funeral services are set he and his friends can start dealing with their grief and help each other through this.

Nan - Hoping you get acclimated to your schedule soon. You can do whatever you set your mind to, you've proven that, my friend.

Vickie - You sure have one smart young man there, then again, I knew that the first time I met him!:thumbsup2 Girl??????? Welcome to the club, the fun times begin!;)

Glynis - Good luck with the play!!

Robin - Stay warm and safe!

WFD - Alice Springs Chicken, pasta and green beans.

Hello ladies! Didn't realize until I saw a message from Kat tonight that I have been a little MIA the last couple days. But.....

THE RAVENS WON THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
:dance3::dance3::dance3:
party:party:party:
:faint:

I think I'm still in shock. :rotfl: I've spent the majority of the last two days watching videos and looking at pictures of the game. And trying to get some actual work done. Today I had the parade on on my computer at work and it actually helped me focus some so I was able to get a good bit done.

I would have loved to have gone downtown to it but with my knee I just didn't think I would have been able to enjoy it fully. Hopefully we'll get to repeat next year. ;)

Kat- that stinks. :grouphug:

Oh well, off to try and get to sleep before 2 in the morning. And I've been away from my pictures and videos too long. :rolleyes1;)

Hey all! Remember me? I know Ive been trying to keep up with all of you on FB just wanted to pop in here quick. Things are good with us. Busy with my Biggest Winner training at the gym and life so my DISing is very sporadic. Andrew started conditioning for baseball and Thomas started soccer instruction. He is doing really well. I cannot believe my boys are going to be 15 and 4 soon!!

Kat, I am very sorry to hear about Kyle's friend. I hope he is doing as OK as can be. I am glad you are feeling a bit better. Are you still holding off on surgery? I need to call you. I fell asleep last week when I was supposed to call. Working out 7 days a week is making me feel great but I lose wind towards the end of the day.

Lauri D. Hugs my friend.

PIO, I hope you are doing OK. I read back you needed some prayers and good thoughts. You have both from me. I loved your pics from Australia Day.

Marilyn, Yay to the Ravens win! I hope you are feeling better soon.

Glynis, You have a lot going on. I hope things settle and fall into place soon. Hope the play is great!

Robyn, I CANNOT WAIT FOR SPRING. I am sick of the snow too!

Nancy, I am not very good at math so I feel your pain. I hope its not too much of a struggle. I also hope Buddy isnt making too much of a mess. We are in the process of finding a contractor to finish our basement so I will be going through renovation termoil soon. We had one "basement finishing" company come in and they told up with a straight face that it would cost 87K...:crazy2::scared1::headache::scared: We not have a local guy coming in way, way less.

Ellen, Hope you had a good weekend.

Vickie, YAY for the Boy!

Dinner tonight is seared tilapia with spicy orange salsa and tossed salad with Ohana's honey lime dressing. Filet mignon and stuffed potato for my fish hating hubby.

Have a great evening all! And look out for some of my hometown boys tonight on the food network.

xoxo

Hey y'all!

Lauren - I am so proud of you. I always knew you could do this and YOU ARE!!!!!!:yay::thumbsup2:cool1: Good to have you back!!!

Lauri D - Missing you here, my friend. xoxoxo

Ellen - Are you back from visiting Matthew?

Becky, Janice, Jen, Marisa, Wendie, Aimee, Julie and Michelle - Where are you??????? (I hope I didn't forget anyone)

Trying something new for dinner tonight - Chipotle stroganoff!

Looks like I'm not going to get my wish, more snow on the way. At least we are supposed to get the least amount of snow, "only" a foot. Looks like we get the 60 mph winds though. Oh we'll, at least it's the weekend and we can just stay home.

Kathy- we love chipotle anything, hope its tasty.

Lauren- I can't believe how old all the kids on this thread are getting.

Hope everyone is doing well, off to accomplish something for the day.

Quick good morning! Taking Thomas to school and then hitting the gym. Today is a longer day since I do not have to adhere to the gyms 1.5 hour child care policy. I will do an hour training and probably 40 extra minutes cardio. Lets see what he's got in store for us today. The other day we were carrying heavy medicine balls up a down the stairs! We were getting tired so we put the balls under our shirts like pregnant women!

Dinner tonight is spaghetti, meatballs, salad with ohana dressing and rosemary rolls.

Have a great day. Will try to bbl.

Quick pop in! Morning, all!!!

Lauren - You are doing so well!!! Congrats on it all! Good luck with the basement refinishing!

Kathy - Please let me know how the chipotle stroganoff was. I love chipotle!!!

We are in for more snow this weekend. It's supposed to snow all day tomorrow and into Saturday. I'm so sick of snow!!! I know that I'll miss it when the hot days of summer come, but for now I'm done!

Katie's play opened last night, and it went very well. This is an entirely student directed play, and I was so proud of the cast. They performed well, and covered the few glitches that happened! Myself and a couple of other moms put together a "gala" for the cast after opening. Just baked potatoes with chili and green salad, but those kids were so grateful! Their teacher has them pretty much convinced that this play is a throw away, so they were pleased that someone was happy with what they did.

I am hosting book club tonight. We are discussing "The Glass Castle". It was a book that was hard to read, at some points. Should make for good discussing. I've got to make some treats, so I'm trying to come up with Valentine's day treats. We'll see what I come up with!

Dinner will be macaroni and cheese. Fast, easy, and the cleanup is a breeze!

Well you could be nice and share some of it! ;) We keep getting little bits that only cause delays, we want a snow day or two. :thumbsup2

Actually we are in a snow "drought" here. It's been several years since we have gotten more than 2 inches.

Glynis- glad the play went well.

Friday night and it's Chinese New Year weekend. It's a weekend of eating and feasting.

Really looking forward to gaining 5 kgs at the end of this weekend.

Real life here? We're settling back into the routine of DS back at school and us back at work. DH hasn't had the best start to the year health wise and I'm pretty worried about him. I'm trying to get back to my usual home activities and have started to cook a bit more; just simple meals and nothing to shout about. The garden is very sad and I'm missing being out there. But it's been really hot and I missed the summer planting season completely last year. Thankfully, work is frantic (although a little too frantic), which keeps my mind occupied.

Have a great weekend all.

And congrats to the Raven fans.

Good morning! Will bbl to catch up. Dinner tonight will be chicken in a creamy dill sauce from Eating Well. Some good recipes there!

Have A great day!

Morning, all! It's a blustery day here. We are in for a storm, and right now the wind is really picking up. I hope the actual moisture holds off until I get home from bowling!

Dinner tonight will be meatloaf and mashed potatoes with green beans.

Ladies in the path of “Nemo” please stay safe and warm.:grouphug:

Glynis – Happy to hear the play went well!

PIO – I will keep your DH in my prayers. Hopefully things will get better.

We're going out for dinner to a new chain Italian restaurant Buca di Beppo that just opened up fairly close to our house.:goodvibes

Baseball starts next weekend!!!!:cheer2::cool1:

Kat, he is ok. Sleeping. I have to call some dentists now.

Bucca de beppos are popular here. We went once. The decor is quite interesting!

Also wishing everyone safety in the path of Nemo. I talked to my sister earlier and she said it was snowing hard. She is right on the line of 18". We are on a line like that too. The line says 18" on one side and no snow on the other. We are on the no snow side. It's raining and about 40degrees so we should be good.

Hi everyone!!

Wow what a week I have had. We got to Matthew's on Thursday to the news that his pickup had a ratchet light lit on the dash. NOT GOOD!! We were able to get it in on Monday and on Tuesday when we were planning on coming home it still wasn't finished so we stayed another day. It was either that or rent a car and we really didn't want to do that. Doug and I both felt that we didn't want to leave him without the truck fixed and no way to get to work. They called on Wednesday at 1:30 that it was ready to go. $1700.00 later and he was set. :crazy2: Get this - only $565.00 in parts and $1200.00 in labor. WOW!!! I need to get a new job.

Yesterday I played catch up at work, plus we had a funeral. Not the best way to come back to work.

Lauri ~ :sad1: Please know I am sorry. Sometimes I type before I think. I am holding you very close - always have!!

Glynis ~ Glad the play went so well.

Nan ~ How is school doing? You know - you are my hero!!

Kat ~ I think our Boys are talking. Good to talk to you the other day. Thanks for checking up on me.

PIO ~ Prayers continue for your DH.

Lauren ~ I am so proud of you. You are doing a great job. And you seem to really enjoy it. Me not so much!! :lmao:

Merle ~ Congratulations! I was rooting for you. :cheer2:

Robin and everyone else in the path of this Monster, please stay safe.

WFDT ~ A slice of pizza at the ball game. We play a rival tonight so we need to get there early if we want a good seat.

Have a great weekend and make it a great day.

Hi Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not been very good at posting, I am overwhelmed at home. But, I am taking the rest of today off to enjoy my snow day.

Glynis- I liked The Glass Castle and I can tell you that our discussion was lively! Some of the women in our group are social workers and their views were a little different than mine. I don't want to comment more, it will spoil it for yu.

Ellen_ I missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy car repair! It is so hard to have to come up with that kind of money when you don't expect the repair.

We are ready for a mega blizzard, the last reports were suggesting over 2 feet of snow with some areas getting 3. That is a lot for us, but if people stayed off the roads like they are supposed to, well, it would not be too bad.

I shopped and cooked so I am good, Nola and Rylee baked us a cake and some ecan bars so I am happy. WElby said they knwo I like sweets in a storm :thumbsup2

Marisa is all set and if she loses power either Dan will get them or I'll send Buddy.

I'll bbl, no work for me today, I have almost all my wash done, the house is clean excepty where Buddy is working so............

Nancy- I think we'll have to get some baked goods in the house soon too, always handy to have around in a power outage.

Ellen- what a week! I just had a car repair too, no fun.

Kathy- I will have to check out that chicken. Enjoy going out to dinner, I'm not going anywhere tonight!

Glynis- it's windy here too, they are saying we might get gusts up to 80, right now it's sustained 25-30.

Lauren- I hope A is okay and it's nothing to serious.

PIO- sorry you are having a tough time, at least it's still the beginning of the year so there is plenty of time for improvement.

Well we are all set here, just waiting. We have the woodstove going to we will be nice and cosy warm if the power goes out. Right now it's a lovely rain snow mix. Have a great weekend all!
