In a panic over part of flight cancelled

Hi just posting while i'm waiting for Opodo to ring me back. I checked my booking with Airfrance & found my return flight from Orlando to Atlanta to be cancelled. Just hope they ring soon.

Never booked separately before, apparently they will offer me another flight which I think, looking at the flights, will be a few hours earlier. Can anyone tell me what my options would be? Can I say, ask for the next day or do I have to accept what is offered?

You will have to ask them of your options for following day. Unfortunatley Delta/Airfrance/NWA have done this a lot recently, reading other threads some have taken an earlier flight others have changed to following day, others have flown back to a different airport. Hopefully you wll get a good agent that deals with it well. Let us know.

Thanks Wayne. They have not rang back yet so I have e mailed them. I see from the Opodo flights with Air France that the time as changed to 13.30 from 15.30(since this morning)so thats proberly what they will offer. I know there is a 16.30 one but thats linked to a later outbound flight. I'l ask for that when they get back to me.

ALL SORTED
Finally got an answer, Orlando to Atlanta now 16.30 instead of 15.30, still get same flight to Manchester but with an extra hour in Disney instead of Atlanta airport. Good result. Wish it had been on the way there as we have 4 hours to kill & a plane leaves Atlanta an hour before ours but that wasn't on offer when we booked. What am I like! I am really happy just to be going, honest. Thanks for the good wishes.

Glad to hear it is all sorted! The internal US flights seem to get cancelled and modified all the time, our flights from Newark to San Francisco changed about 3 times!

We have a one stop flight booked in October and just wondering if they inform you of any changes to flights or is it up to you to keep checking?

Opodo E-mailed me which hopefully other companies would also do but I was checking it anyway just in case

Hi Simon, Opodo do email, but i'd found out as it had just happened and jumped the gun, they were good at sorting it. They had e mailed before with a change of just 2 mins.
