Not cooking this year. DH and I are going to a 200 year old inn for dinner. My dad passed away this year, so the holidays are going to be a bit different. When we do cook it's either at my house or my mom's. I only get one day off, and mom is only off in the evening. So, I am not spending my day slaving in the kitchen for people to end up not showing up. My brother will show up, but his girlfriend's excuse last year, was "she had to take a bath". Our kids all have different places to go, so they usually can't make it.
When I do cook, it's pretty traditional -- turkey, stuffing/dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, lima beans, green bean casserole, candied sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, rolls and usually another kind of dessert. We are not big cranberry sauce fans.

Hope you can still manage to enjoy the day with the rest of your family..
