we had a trip to vegas planned for Oct for our 36 anniversary--however we both were sick just before we were to leave--I was first fighting 2 infections (10-4 thru 10-7 ) then on OCt 9 it was hubbys turn (we were supposed to leave 10-12

I called the # on the back of the card to get things started--they emailed all sorts of forms that had to be filled out and sent back

I was alittle afraid with SW since they offer credits and no change fees but since I used a small credit from last yr my credits from this trip would only be good until 10-30

we wanted to rebook for 11-9 and I asked for an extension but they said they couldnt do it until my funds expired

then I wanted to rebook as soon as possible since I didnt want the fares to go up

but I just got en email stating that my check was being processed for the full amount which included EBCI

I was surprised and very happy and impressed--

I had a similar experience with my Chase United card. It was much easier than I expected and the check arrived quickly. Just a note that all Visa Signature cards are not created equal. I called Chase to do a comparison on the travel insurance on their different cards and all of them had different coverage.

I booked my latest resort reservation through Travelocity with my new Citi Double Cash card and I think it offers some type of trip insurance as well. I need to check on that though.

Awesome! I wouldn't have thought to look into it. Thanks for the heads up! Hope you get to take your trip soon!
