Impossible ADR

Is anyone having any luck getting dining reservations? My Disney travel agent and I both tried at 180 day mark and we were not able to get CRT, BOG, or an ‘Ohana dinner. We were only able to get an 8pm dinner at chef Mickeys, 4pm at Hollywood and vine. And a breakfast at Crystal Palace. My travel dates are September 16-21. I woke up this morning at 6am just to see if I could get any reservations for September 23rd. And couldn’t get anything today either. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem or what is going on? I know the Star Wars opening is probably effecting it. Should I consider rescheduling my whole trip to October or December? Or should I keep what I did get and keep trying for the others?

Don't give up. A friend is going in 5 weeks and last week she was able to get a 9:00 at CRT for a party of 7. And 'Ohana always pop up. As does BOG.

I dont think another date for the next year would be any better. Your start date is a Monday. Most guests check in Sat or Sun. Those getting there for the 14/15 were able to book a day or two before yours. Since its free dining, a lot of TS goes quickly. You might have better luck booking lunches. Most use TS for dinner and QS for breakfast or lunch.

The above poster is 100% correct. Starting your trip on a Monday puts you at a disadvantage. Your best bet would be to set up a reservation finder and also follow the cancelled ADR thread for September on these boards. You should be able to find more reservations as others firm up their plans.

Don't give up. Keep checking as there are always cancelations, especially the closer you get. I was just able to make an ADR for Chef Mickeys and our trip is in mid-April. There are resources out there that will continuously check for the ADRs you are looking for and message you when they become available. That's how we got CM's for dinner at 6:35 PM.

Thank you all! We will definitely keep trying. We have young kids that are normally in bed by 8 so we want early reservations. Lunches would work and I keep checking for those too. I just did not think it would be that hard at 180 days

You're going during FD. Many people make TS ADR's. Just keep checking.

Last year i would think that any of those ADRs would've been avail being its usually a really a slow time for Disney. Now that SWGE announced opening end of August 2019 I think is why there's so little avail.

For reassurance just take a look at the cancelled monthly threads as to how many offers there are for BOG, 'OHana,etc. ADRs. At the 180 mark people tend to bite off more than they can chew and overbook at MK in particular. Then their FP window opens and reality sets in. You may not get all the ADRs you currently want but excellent chance you'll get some.

MNSSHP is scheduled 4 nights of your trip so MK closes early which eliminates a lot of dinner ADRs and people book lunch or breakfast for the character meals at MK instead.
the hard ticket parties that run from August-December make ADRs tough at MK; last 3 trips for my family were September, October, November; we opted for lunch or breakfast ADRS

Free dining AND Star Wars will have just opened. I'd imagine September 2019 is going to be crazy busy. Early December might be better, not sure about October though.

Meh.......as was stated just dont give up, CRT, BOG, OhanaB, Tiffins ROL, were all "booked" when our 180+10 opened, I have checked several times a day and now have booked EVERYTHING we wanted AND at the times we wanted, be patient as things open up, I seriously believe that Disney does not open everything at once, they slowly open up ADR's, good luck and happy hunting!!

I tried to book this morning too when our 180+10 opened (going 9/23-9/27) and 9/26 was the first CRT open, only 9/23 dinner I found from our resort-wish-list (no park so willing to do any of the super fun resort character meals) was 8 Pm Chef Mickey's. Crazy!

It's FREE DINING season this is why. So many people have Free Dining so need to book ADR's.
This is pretty much the worst time to find ADR's.

Try the Mouse Dining website... I have been able to get every ADR on the days and times I wanted for a trip that was only planned 3 months in advance. It has been a life saver for me!!

Touringplans reservation finder has worked for us every time. Have them text NOT email, if you always have your phone with you. When you get a text, you have to touch that link immediately. Everybody who wanted that reservation is texted at the same time.

This, we got beaches and cream for our upcoming trip this way and it was booked solid for our entire trip.

Just keep trying. I just booked our June vacation about 3 weeks ago (way after 180 mark) and was still able to get CRT, BOG, Ohana, Chef Mickey and Sci-Fi. Nothing was immediately available but after checking randomly every few days, times popped up.

Echoing others - definitely use Touringplans reservation finder. They helped me nab Sci-Fi - couldn't get that one on my own.

Yup it's the beginning of the Galaxy's Edge crush. Our travel dates are 9-22 to 9-28. I was up at 5:45 am on Tuesday and by 6:10am EVERYTHING that is normally hard to get was gone. They went really fast this time. Definitely making me a little freaked out about potential crowds.
