Do they ever move scooters that are plugged in and charging?

Are there plenty of places that are within reach for charging or do I really need to bring an extension cord into the park to be safe?

Im not use to the CM moving scooters, the only time this has happened was on our last trip to WDW in 2014. Is there a scooter parking area for each attraction or restaurant?

Make sure that you charge your (rental) scooter to full capacity every night in your Resort room, and you should (hopefully) never need to plug it in and charge it during the day at the Parks, especially if you practice good battery "hygiene".

For example, if you are sitting on your scooter, (in a queue, watching a parade, looking at a map) and won't be moving for more than a minute (or even 30 seconds) turn it off. Unlike a car, the scooter is "instant on", so you don't have to worry about the time it takes to switch on/off.

Turn it off when you park it (that one's pretty obvious!)

Make sure the headlight and/or tail light is not on during the day.

Don't worry - you'll be fine!

I would bring an extension cord for the room but not drag it to the park. You should be able to get close enough to a plug there. It took me a while to spot the outlets but once you find them, they seem to jump out at you. I don't think you will need to charge in the day if you charge well at night.

Thank you. That's good to know. It will be nice to not have to drag an extension cord into the parks. We're already going to be bringing lots of other stuff.
