IMPORTANT: Regarding The Debate Board

We are constantly evaluating the various boards on the DIS to make sure that they further our primary purpose: Disney travel planning and a Disney community.
It has become apparent that the Debate board has not added to that purpose for some time.
Because of this we have made a decision to close the debate board. It will remain in place in a "read only" format.
Any debates on any of the other boards on the DIS will be required to strictly follow DIS posting policy. Here is a link to that policy for those that are not familiar with it:

Good decision, glad to hear it. The personal attacks and name calling was getting to be too much. Back to important issues re: DVC.

Whatever else you can say about the debates--and you can say a lot--at least we can agree that they were never dull.

I suppose it's all for the best... It was certainly getting out of hand. However, I must say I will miss it. It was a forum for critical thinking, and examining ones inner feelings about important and often difficult subjects... Pete was providing an important service and it will be sorely missed.

Anyway.... time to pack! We're off to WDW for our stay at BWV. Can't wait. We haven't stayed at our 1st home-away-from-home since 2001? Wow... I had to look that up. We've spent a lot of time at VWL the last couple years. Has anything changed? ... Highspeed interet! .... but alas... no debate board...

I agree with this - lots of places to have debates - this board needs the bandwidth and attention for Disney and Universal items
