Effective immediately on all boards, attempts to get around the word filter by using an asterisk or other letter or symbol in place of the real letters will be an offence that is subject to immediate banning.
The words have been placed in the filter because we do not want them appearing on the boards. There are certainly plenty of ways to express yourself without resorting to bypassing the filter.
Thank you

Just to clarify.....does the use of

$&!^

or

&(@[

or

[$(^&@! $)(*#$

mean that I could be banned?

I swear, I am not trying to be a smart tushy, but I just need input. Mickey

I believe the problem is that people are using a couple of the letters of a word and maybe using a * is place of a vowel.

I believe this should answer your question.

ScottNJ has got it spot on.

This is for people who use * for vowels or maybe a $ instead of an S as a deliberate way of getting around the board filter.

The 'gobbledegook' as a means of showing frustration is still fine as long as it's not recognizable as a filtered word, as is you tripping the filter by accident.
