IMPORTANT - Plastic Bags for Clothes!

I bought a couple of the Eagle Creek Pack It sleeves and can't imagine traveling without them anymore. Everything keeps so nice and organized and wrinkle free in my suitcase.

They do help protect a little from wetness, but I think I may just slip them into plastic just to be sure.

I have to second the idea of plastic bags. We just got back on sunday. It was pretty sunny when we were in the terminal, checked bags were out waiting for the plane to arrive, they were not covered (southwest). Well, it being the afternoon, it started pouring down, lightning, and then the airport closed. All the while the luggage was sitting out in the rain. They eventually a tarp like top was put over the luggage.

When we got home, after spending the afternoon in the airport. My suitcase was drenched. Good thing all the souvies were in the disney plastic bags. My clothing was soaked. Good thing it was on the way home and not the way to disney. I generally toss everything into the laundry because things have a funny smell when coming back from all the hunidity, but as things were sopping wet, had to washed right away.

We had to put fans on 3 of the bags. My luggage must have been on the top, as the contents were really wet.

Another vote for plastic.
