Important information regarding Gift Threads

As of today we are closing all gift threads currently active, for the time being, to review the process and guidelines.


We feel we needed to do this to review the guidelines now in place because of an overwhelming attitude of entitlement and greed that has swept over the boards both posted and inferred, and the rude treatment of gifters.


Gifting can be a great way to help our fellow players, but we need to find a way to make it more enjoyable all around.

No further gifting threads will be allowed until the review process has been completed.

I think its a dumb idea. Now we have to sift through 100 "i need a XXXX" thread. Rather then let 1 Dis member update and handle all the gifts, the mods feel that its better to have a whole bunch of different threads. Its like cutting off your nose to spite your face. It makes NO sense. I have read all the comments and the reasons and other then "people feel entitled to gifts" the rest are meaningless. You are going to get all the "mean" people weather or not there is a centralized list for wishes, and the 1 thread helps keeps clutter to a min. Mods, use some common sense and allow 1 dis member to organize a thread.
