IMPORTANT For BC People With Kids!

As many of you are aware.. the government is issuing $100 Climate Action Dividend cheques at the end of June. These are for ALL residents of BC. If you have filed your 2006 &2007 income tax return you will automatically receive a $100 cheque HOWEVER..... children are eligible to receive a $100 cheque as well BUT THE PARENTS MUST APPLY FOR THE CHILDREN TO RECEIVE THE DIVIDEND.

The following link is to the form that you must fill out for your child to receive this money.

Follow all directions on form and mail it away.

The government has offered to give EVERYONE INCLUDING CHILDREN this dividend and many families do not realize that they must apply separately for their children.

Thanks for this I just called Service BC (the number listed on the form itself) and the very helpful lady informed me that any dependent(s) listed on my tax return will automatically receive the $100 dividend. Where did you get the information that you needed to file a separate form for your child(ren)? I just want to make sure they receive the cheque (more moolah for their WDW bank accounts, ya know LOL).

I was told that I had to fill out the form, even though the kids are listed on the tax return.

This Climate Action Dividend form is going around in e-mail threads amongst my friends. For once, we get a piece of the pie. For a family of 4, that's $400!!!
