:goodvibes We are leaving for WDW in two weeks and DW thinks she will ride EE with me which is a first beacuse she won't ride RnRC. Her main concern is do you go upside down when you are going backwards, All the videos I have seen do not show that footage.Do any of you Dis'ers know? :Pinkbounc
Thanks :sunny:

Yes, EE does go backwards, but most certainly does not go upside down. To the best of my knowledge, there are only lap belts/bars. There is no way a ride is going to invert without shoulder restraints. Your dd will be fine. I understand that it is very fast, but incredibly smooth.

No upside down

only backwards and forwards.

On the discovery channel there have been a few programs this week that show many parts of the ride (from the riders p.o.v) so this might help too.

have fun, she'll enjoy it. My DH who "HATES" rollercoasters, loved this and thought it was more of a fast train than a rollercoaster.

EE definately does not invert. It goes backward and has the feeling of the Himalayan ride at fairs. My DH who hates roller coasters (but will ride RNR because its inside and he can't see the track) was nervous at first to ride EE but once he got on he loved it. He even said it was his second fav after RNR. Your DD should be ok since it doesn't invert. I can't wait to go on it again (it will be my 5th, 6th, 7th..... you get the idea!!)

Sorry I have to correct you on this one.....
The Son of The Beast at King's Island in Ohio is a looping wooden coaster that only has a lap restraint! I know it sounds dangerous, but it isn't beucase it is really tight. If you ever get a chance to go there I say go for it, Son of the Beast is a 200+ foot woody!!!!!!!! (Pretty tall for a wooden coaster)

Also, the Outer Limits: Flight of Fear (@ King's Island and King's Dominion), rollercoaster kind of similar to RRC but older, now has lap restraints VS shoulder restraints becuase the ride was too rough. You banged your head too much against the shoulder restraints and many people got shoulder and neck injueries becuase of it.

You are correct though about EE not going upside down. It is not supposed to; if you are riding it and you happen to go upside begin to pray ;)

One more thing, if you have any thrill seekers at your house, I think a great family vacation is going to Ohio and doing their three amusement parks: King's Island, Geague Lake, and of course Cedar Point. Lots of fun and excitement and something different to do if you are always going to WDW.
