Leading our country into war... I seem to recall Clinton dropping bombs and sending missles into SEVERAL countries
Absuing Power & Shipping our money... North Korea, anyone?

He’s the man who hired all the criminals
The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors
And bend the facts to fit with their new stories
Of why we have to send our men to war

Hired all the criminals... come on now, Clinton takes this one, too
Bends the facts... "depends on what the definition of 'is' is."

Let’s impeach the president for spying
On citizens inside their own homes
Breaking every law in the country
By tapping our computers and telephones

Or killing dozens of innocent Americans for practicing their own religion in Waco?


I guess it all depends on perspective, doesn't it?!?

Whether you agree with the lyrics of this particular song or not, Neil Young is surely one of the most gifted songwriters of our time.

Buy or rent the DVD "Heart of Gold." It is awesome! I could listen to it over and over. More beautiful music, better executed can rarely be found, anywhere by any musician.

Start the DVD and skip to #6, "It's a Dream" and then to #12, "Harvest Moon" and listen through the end of the DVD. It contains some of the finest music you could ever hear, fabulously written and perfectly executed. I love it and can't get enough of it!

Mr. Young is very deep, and his songs are intense. Listening to them is a balm for the soul whether you agree with his political views or not.

Then there's the absolutely crazy assumption that if someone hates Bush, they must be a democrat...how wrong is that? So if Bush's approval rating is at 32% that means that 68% of the country is now a Democrat?

How many soldiers died under Clinton's terms? What was the surplus/deficit under Clinton's terms?

Hate to tell ya, I'm not a "Bush Supporter". While I approve of his handling of the war, there are many things I disagree with.

To explain Bush's approval ratings (which are no longer at 32% - nice try) roughly 35% of the country is partison right. Roughly 35% of the country is partison left. Roughly 30% are "swing voters". So, for any very partison issue, this is how the polls are going to fly.

And the issue shouldn't be "how many soldiers died under Clinton's terms". The quesion should be, How many would not have had to die if Clinton had done something about these issues when he had the chance, instead of allowing them to grow? Remember who gave hundreds of millions to N. Korea AND sold nuclear secrets to N. Korea & China. Other than lobbing some missles into Iraq, what did Clinton do for 8 years when Hussein was breaking 14 different terms to the cease fire? What did Clinton do after the bombing of the USS Cole? What did Clinton do after the semi-successful first bombing of the World Trade Center?

My original post about the song was to show that it's all a matter of perspective. For all you Bush haters out there, there were as many people who had very valid concerns with the prior administration.

But, regardless of your or my political affiliation, no matter how bad this adminstration seems to you, or how bad the prior adminstration seems to me... at least we have the right and the freedom to disagree and express our displeasure with our government. Rock on, my fellow American!

Democracy may be a horrible form of government. But, it's better than all the rest.
