Impact of Star Wars Half-Marathon Route

Curious about how the Star Wars Half-Marathon will impact the parks. In particular I'm curious about the boardwalk and Epcot's International Gateway. I'm staying at the Dolphin and I happy to be so close to Epcot. I'm worried, though, that the half marathon on Sunday 4/19 will impact my access to Epcot.

I'm staying at the Dolphin and I happy to be so close to Epcot. I'm worried, though, that the half marathon on Sunday 4/19 will impact my access to Epcot.

the course map does not come out until maybe 3 weeks prior to the race, so at this point everything is a guess. If it takes the same route as the last 2 years, it will go through the boardwalk to IG and enter the park to the left of Skyliner. Everyone should be through by about 10:00. They will narrow the course at some point so that access is not blocked off to IG for walking guests coming from the resorts, but you might have to wait for cast members to do a shuffle and get groups of people across the course if need be. The boats will be running though and not be impacted by the course. The IG will be open and unaffected for guest entry. Again, some places within the WS might be impacted since the course will head around from UK to China and out again.

Even when runners go through that area, normal guests still have access. I actually can't think of any park area that gets closed completely to normal guests when the runners are going through an area. You may have to take a small detour, or wait for CMs to let you cross, but that's about it. Just pay attention to any CMs/signs and you will be fine.

I would assume the course will be the same as 2019 wine and dine aside from maybe some changes in Epcot due to construction
