Hmmm...from where, and for what purpose? It's fairly remote. I would say you'd need to be a fan of the outdoors, camping, hiking, etc. You'd also be able to visit another beautiful nearby area, Wallowa Lake.
If I were going to be near or going through the area it would be worth it, but I don't know if I'd do a really long extended drive to visit. FWIW, I grew up about an hour from Joseph/Wallowa Lake, which would be the nearest "city" in the area. There are lots of really beautiful places to visit in Eastern Oregon (and Oregon in general). If the Imnaha River would be way out of your way, there's tons of other good places that might be an easier destination depending on where you're traveling from and what you're wanting to do.
