My two grandchildren and I travel with my son, who has a complex immune system disorder and autoimmune complications. He has to use a scooter or wheel chair to navigate the parks because of the walking involved. Since my grandchildren were 5 and 4, they wanted the close contact of their daddy. People at Disney World, both employees and guests, have been very compassionate in accommodating a scooter with walking child along side it. The other grandchild and I walk behind. If you have to use assistance for a physical disability,
Disney World is a great place to go! (Do note that we tried the wheelchair rental which was less expensive, but difficult for me to push or my son to use his arms to move for a long day at the parks.) The scooter was the best fit and was easy to use for rides in Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Only the distances and terrain of the Animal Kingdom presented some difficulties.
