I am back home safe and sound and with a real computer.

Just tired and have a cold again but I can sleep in my own bed and eat real food.

It was a pretty emotional experience. I only left our headquarters once to visit one of the facilities and that was ok. I did not have a want or desire to go to Ground Zero.

Hats off to the residents of Metro New York, you made my job easier by volunteering in droves to help us out. At last count we used 21,000 local volunteers!! That is the most we have ever used in the history of the Red Cross.

Now I have to look through 3 weeks of Dizpins, Pinpics and DIS!! And all of the new pins I have missed!! Boy let the begging begin.

I will try and be in pin chat tonight....if I can stay awake.

Ok here is my funny Pepsi story

I get to the Headquarters and just getting busy with work. Look in the coolers and what do I see but COKE!!

Ok I get to complaining a bit, but I realize we get what is donated. By day 2 I am in withdrawls. Still whining to the supply and warehouse guys to find me the pallet of Pepsi that was donated. So my supervisor walks in with a 20 oz bottle of Pepsi!!!! I was so happy....then my cohort walks in and he hands me a 2 liter bottle!!

Needless to say that did not last long. But everyone would feel sorry for me and Pepsi would end up on my desk. That even became the bribe....if you want volunteers in a hurry bring me Pepsi LOL

But I am home now and have all the Pepsi I need!!
