Immitation Crocs :p

I wonder if they are made of the same material as crocs??

I think I'll go to Payless and see if they have them. I ordered Crocs from zappos.com - they are so cute but I am between sizes, darn it! :sad2:

I doubt they are the same material but ya never know. I suspect hot, sweaty material but at a lower price. I wonder if they actually conform to the feet. At least this way I have a chance of trying them on first. We do have a PayLess here.

These Croc things are obviously taking off if PayLess is making knock-offs!

Just checked these out and they say "Airwalks" which is actually a decent brand. It's a skateboard shoe company for the most part so these things have now turned "Hip", which I'm so sure they do not say now....I think it's "sic" or "phat" oh yes anyone seen that commercial with the old, balding advertsiers..."so these shoes are so Phat, we'll be Sic?" :rotfl2:

I would imagine that these are not made the same or with the same technology!! Part of the comfort is in the way they make the Crocs and how the material conforms to your foot--I would imagine this knock off is mostly for kids who want to have the look of Crocs. It wouldn't make any sense to try them on and compare if you haven't tried on the Crocs first (how would you know if there is a difference? JMO

I went to our Payless today and asked about the Airwalk Clogs. They aren't in yet but "coming soon". The saleslady said quite a few people have been asking about them so they are obviously catching on and will be sold out fast.

I know they won't be as good as Crocs but at least I can get an idea of look and initial feel before deciding to actually order from Crocs. I can live in imitation land for a while anyway, especially at half the price since I'm in Canada.

I'll actually look like I'm a hip, cool mom if I buy them and it's all the rage with the kids. I'll be ahead of the trend for once in about 20 years! I like that idea!

I got my crocs today... LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to second the "probably not similar technology" idea stated above.

I'm a devout Birkenstock wearer and over the years (as a young college student) I purchased knock-offs. They would be worn out by summer's end and NEVER fit/wore like Birkis. Some of my Birks are a good four years old, worn daily, and they're still kicking and comfy. :goodvibes

Crocs are sold out EVERYWHERE around here. I found some on ebay, but they wanted $10 for SHIPPING!! EGAD!

Doesn't that just bug you when all they have to do is stick them in a priority envelope for 3.85...Unless you want the box that is!! I too love Birks..I have a pair but I have to say that they do carry odor :sad2: and I wouldn't have been able to wear them that long at WDW...Not enough cousion...I am spoiled by my Crocs these days!

No surprised they are sold out...I can still find them here.

Walmart is also carrying them...May have to try a pair.
the Wal Mart ones are not like Crocs- they are not flexible, and the material is hard. More like plastic garden clogs. I think the only similarity is the look.

The Payless ones are very similar to Crocs- not quite as cushy, but still pretty comfy.

I've got both Crocs and Payless Airwalks....honestly....if I weren't looking down @ the logo, I could not tell u the difference. The walmart ones are awful and hard. The Airwalks also don't sweat or smell, neither do the Crocs. And I found the sizing virtually identical. I only wear a sz.5 womens and have slender feet, so both float, but who cares..they r super comfy.

I also have both Crocs and Payless and can't tell the difference. They are both great!

Airwalks come in toddler sizes...Crocs don't. One dd has airwalks (the toddler) and one has crocs (the three year old). They are both cute!

Airwalks and crocs are not nearly the same for me--but to my daughter they are one in the same. I have problems with my feet and hips though and have found that while they look similiar and feel squishy, the airwalks are not as good at keeping things all lined up for painfree walking. I would imagine if you did not have these difficulties the difference might not be as pronounced. Our payless still doesn't have the tye dyed models in yet, DD wants those. As for me I'll be spending a bit more for another pair of crocs.
