Since we'd gotten up & out early the last two mornings, I didn't make
everyone rush out today. We had room service breakfast again (gotta love the
GP for that! LOL) Today it was Pecan Pancakes for me - good, but they serve
the pecans in a syrupy base on the side, and I happen to prefer them IN the
pancakes. Also had some bacon with this. Dave had the regular pancakes &
bacon, and Alec had French Toast, Evan scrambled eggs, both also with bacon.
They don't usually eat a lot of breakfast, but did this morning - I guess
they were hungry, because they also went out & got fruit & pastries from the
concierge area! LOL

I can't remember exactly what time we finally got our butts out of the room,
though I know it wasn't TOO late. Caught the bus to MGM. ** a word here
about the bus on demand thing ~~~ I've heard conflicting reports on how well,
or not well, this works. From the Grand, I can honestly say that the only
time we had a lengthy wait (about a half hour) was the morning we went to AK.
Any other time we used the bus, it was there w/n 5 min or so.

First stop at MGM was the Camera shop there. I have a digital camera that I
use a Flashpath adaptor to load my pictures in with, and the batteries on
that were going up, and I wanted to see if they carried them. They didn't.

One of Ev's favorite is GMR, so that was our very first stop. This is an
"ok" attraction for me ... I just wish they would change the movies featured
from time to time... though I suppose with the fairly elaborate sets in
there, that's not an easy thing to do.

Afterwards, we quickly made our way back to my favorite, R'nR, and got FP's
for this, then went around the corner to TOT, where there wasn't TOO long of
a wait, so we all did this. There was a little time to spare before FP time,
so I dashed up to the Villans candy store and got 2 BIG chocolate covered
strawberries and had a yummy morning snack!! I swear those things were as big
as my palm almost!! LOL

Now I had 4 FP for R'nR .. but as it turned out, NO ONE else wanted to go
with me! No matter how hard I tried to convince Evan & Alec, they weren't
having any part of it! LOL That makes NO sense in my eyes, because to ME, TOT
& it's drops are FAR more stomach wrenching that R'nR!! But hey .. no one
else using the FP meant more rides for me, so off I went!! LOL I just LOVE
this ride!! I did it 3 times in a row, but then figured everyone was
probably getting a bit sick of waiting for me, so I gave the last FP away as
I exited the ride that 3rd time.

We managed to catch the Indy show at just the right time, which was amazing,
because .. I think FP has kind of screwed this attraction's wait time up. (I
think FP installation has messed up a LOT of attractions times frankly ...)
Evan's always loved this show, and Alec liked it too. Unfortunately, none of
us got picked to be in it. I have in the past, and it was FUN! LOL

Oh, we'd gotten a FP for LM on the way, and so went right to that after Indy.
The boys DON'T like this! LOL but I do!! They think it's too "girly" .. but
as I told them, give it 3 or 4 years, and once they're teens, I think they'll
like it (and Ariel) a LOT more then! <g>

We did some shopping and had a popcorn & soda break after this, and the park
was still relatively uncrowded at this point. Not empty but not as bad as it
can get. After a while, it was time to head back to Mama Melrose for our
lunch PS, and I did so eagerly - this is another favorite of mine!! On the
way back, we picked up FP's for "Millionaire".

Once we finished at Mama's, we just made it for the latter time on the
Millionaire FP's so off we hustled to get there in time. Unfortunately, none
of us got into the "hot seat" .. but I liked this attraction!! Lots of fun,
and the gal hosting this day was very good!!

Alec wanted to do the Backlot Tour next, so :::yawn::: LOL, we did. I "yawn"
because I guess I've just done this one too many times, and don't find it to
be the most exciting of attractions. Personally, I could go to MGM, ride
R'nR & TOT a bunch of times, shop, eat and leave! LOL it's probably my least
favorite of all of the parks. I don't mean that I don't like it .. I do! ..
I just like the other parks more.

Evan wanted to do the Sounds show, and that was next. ONCE again, just like
last year, my headphones at my seat were broken!! .. so I just caught a few
winks of a nap during this! LOL I normally NEVER sleep during the day, but
with the heat & oppressive humidity, a cool dark a/c'd theatre will do it to
me every time!

It had started to rain AGAIN, this time with the clouds just completely
covering the sky, showing NO signs of wanting to let up! It was close to our
time for dinner PS at the Prime Time, so we just headed over there a little
earlier, to get a break from the rain. The boys managed to find a seat in
one of the "living rooms", and we sat down at the bar, where I enjoyed a
pretty darned good Bloody Mary! LOL Don't ask me how, but somehow, I don't
know that I've ever noticed the bar here before! LOL I think it's probably
because I've only had less than 5 min waits to be seated before .. but this
time it was longer, and I remembered reading in Buddy's TR's about him
sitting at the bar .. so I made it a point to look for it this time! LOL

It was still POURING .. VERY HARD .. after dinner. I debated all during
dinner about what to do if this happened, since we were going to stay for
Fantasmic! that evening. But once I got outside afterwards, and saw the
nasty weather, the boys BEGGED to go back to the hotel! LOL, and so, after
making our way back down the main street, shopping as we went, and dashing
into a fav. store of mine, Sids .. we did just that. There would be other
times for Fantasmic.

We were back at the hotel by about 8:30 or so - there was a wait for the bus
tonight. Of course ... at 9, sitting on the balcony .. the rain had stopped,
so we should have stayed for Fantasmic after all!!! Oh well....

Up next, Day 6!

Another great report. We ordered room service breakfast several times during our stay at the BWV and it was delish.

We always find the bus system to be so unpredictably, this year we are taking the Auto Train down so we will have our own car. :bounce:

We had some bad luck with the bus on demand thing back in December. I'm not so sure I like it. Hopefully they have fixed some of the problems by now. I just love eating at Prime Time. Did you have a good waitress? That makes such a difference. :)
