Imagination Pavillion and Image Works?

I haven't bothered with the Imagination ride in years since Disney ruined it, but this visit our two young grands may enjoy it. Is there anything worthwhile for a 3 and 6 year old in the Image Works section anymore? Or somewhere else inside the buildings? My own children always loved the old Image works. I understand the upstairs is now a DVC lounge or some such, but wondering if we should budget some extra time inside. We don't plan on seeing the films for sure-

Some of the interactive games are still there plus the meet and greet with Ralph and Vanellope. Also remember the dancing water outside the pavilion, my kids loved to play and get wet there when they were little

As you exit the ride you'll pass through ImageWorks. I'd budget maybe 10 minutes max. on what there is to do there, plus any additional time for meeting Ralph and Vanellope if that is of interest. I'd say the most popular activity is the "stepping tones" where they can make different music sounds by stepping on spots with different musical instruments. They can also design a figment on a computer (a very old computer) and e-mail it to a friend.

I loved the original attraction and play area as much as the next person but I don't get the hate.
I still love Figment no matter what form he is in.
The Image Works area is worth a few minutes.
It is mostly about music. You put your hands in the one thing and they become instruments.
You run and jump on things on the floor and you here instruments.
My sister and I (in our 30's) always play the simon game.

Its certainly no rainbow tunnel, pin table, dress up your face, green screen spend an hour there kind of place anymore but lets be real here other things Future World used to provide are former shells of themsevles as well so lets not just beat up on Image Works.

Never meant to be hating on this-it's just one of those places where I felt "if it ain't broke don't fix it," and think the ride/pavilion today, while it is certainly worth seeing if you haven't, hence the reason I posted this where my grands are concerned, may not be as fun and inspiring for them as the original was for their paraents-

I'm often surprised about what piques the interests of my kids in WDW. Some things that I would think they have no interest in, we have to drag them away from.

They often want to hang out in the Image Works for a few minutes after the ride, so we usually let them explore for 5-10 minutes. After that, we lead them out because there is so much more to see.
