Imaginary Christmas Trip

So I definitely can't afford my dream trip to WDW this year but I have fun imagining it. Folks who have been there between Thanksgiving and Christmas, which Deluxe resort do you think is the best ambiance/decor *and* convenience? Let's assume we don't have a car and while we can do kind park days, we also like the option of mid-day breaks. What would you do? Or what have you done in the past?

Wilderness Lodge is one of the most beautiful at Christmas.
We've also done Coronado Springs Tower 2 years. I love the way they set the colors on the walls for the Holidays.
This year we were also at CR main tower and it was a lot of fun. Much more quiet than you'd expect
Boardwalk is always fun no matter what time of year but it's really nice to be able to walk out of Epcot after NYE
We do mixtures of breaks and parks at both locations

We love going the beginning of December and visiting different resorts to see their decorations (have stayed at OKW, CBR, and Pop for those trips). Wilderness Lodge definitely has an amazing Christmas feel. We’re staying at Yacht Club this December and plan on visiting as many resorts as we can again. Hoping that Boardwalk has their gingerbread display back (I don’t think it’s been back since the re-open?) so we can check it out again and of course Yacht’s train set up and Beach’s carousel.

Spent Christmas 2019 at POFQ. Loved the decor, the proximity to EPCOT, the quiet intimacy of that nice compact resort.

For us, a Disney World Christmas trip means a stay at Wilderness Lodge. It's not even up for debate.
(I consider Copper Creek to be part of Wilderness Lodge. I'd also include Boulder Ridge once it gets a refresh.)

As for convenience of transportation, it's certainly true that you can't walk to any of the parks but the boat ride to MK is very enjoyable, as is the boat to the Contemporary (assuming it's coming back at some point). You can also take the monorail from MK to Epcot, although you do have to switch at the TTC. We've always had good luck with the buses while staying at WL. The Minnie Vans were great too and hopefully they return as well but if not there's always Uber, Lyft, or a taxi.
If convenient transportation is your number one priority, then YC, BC, and BW win because you can walk to two parks as well as to the Skyliner station. All three have very nice Christmas decor.

We will be spending this year’s Christmas with my in-laws and BIL at WDW. Arriving December 25th and returning January 2nd. 8 nights at Yacht Club. Epcot is by far and away our favorite park so we plan on spending a ton of time there.

We plan on pulling out all the stops. Tours, expériences, you name it…we are gonna do it! Massages, pool time, fancy dinners, late nights out, sleeping in. My MIL has had some medical issues and life is just too short so we are going all out. We decided that my husband and I paying for the entire thing (flights and meals…everything) as their Christmas present. It’s going to be very pricey, but they are worth it.

I agree, would love to stay at WL, but being able to walk to Epcot is too much of a plus for us.
