The past couple of weeks, song birds have been showing up in more frequent numbers in the backyard. I have been shooting away with my new Nikkor 70-300 VR on the D50 body. Below are some of the cropped, but otherwise untouched images.

I believe that is a Tufted Titmouse. They are hard to capture - they're fast! I usually tempt them with peanuts.

I got these shots of bald eagles this weekend. (Forgive me, I also posted these on the inspiration game )

I got more, but just had the chance to do a quick RAW conversion with Picasa.

That's some backyard you have...wow! A bluebird (never seen one) and a rose breasted grosbeak...very nice.

Here's another bluebird shot. We built a box for them, but it was overtaken by sparrows twice. Oh well, maybe next year...

This is our friend, "psycho cardinal". He comes to peck at his reflection in our back window every day.

These aren't the greatest shots, as they were shot through a window, and are heavily cropped!
