I'm.........

I’m heading to work this morning and then maybe this afternoon we may go to the Toyota dealership to start entertaining the idea of buying me a new car. I really don’t want to get rid of my mini van, but it needs a lot of work done to it (brakes, tires & engine stuff) and DH feels it’s a lot of money to spend when we are thinking of getting rid of it in September (getting rid of it because it has 76,000 miles on it and it will have even more by September) Plus, with the threat of gas going to $4 a gallon, I should have something smaller with better gas mileage. We’re thinking about getting me a hybrid RAV4. DH said it gets 41 miles per gallon and my van gets 16 -18 miles per gallon - seems like a no brainer, but I need to see it and drive it to be certain. It won’t be easy to let go of my van - so many good and fun memories in the walls of that vehicle.

That's what I want next as well! (But I'm a little farther away from needing one than you are.)

If I get one, I’ll be able to let you know what I think of it.
My default is to always want something larger, but with my kids grown and not needing to drive other kids around, it seems unnecessary for me to have a Highlander (I do really like those though). I love Toyota, I love the local dealership (I currently have a Sienna) and I love our sales guy, so I’m not willing to shop around, which makes my FIL 🙁 since he’s retired from Ford - LOL!

DIL had a hybrid Toyota. She didn't like it after awhile. Kind of gutless with no "go" power.

I'm going to be doing more cleaning out of things......DH's side of the closet is today, along with the baking section of the pantry. I got so many sprinkles and decorating things for Christmas and my birthday, I need to get it more organized......and hopefully get to clean out the kids books. They never want to be read to....or read here anymore.

Dishwasher ordered!! It's a step up from the one I wanted but that one was nowhere and they had no idea when it would be back. It is still going to take about 10 days to get it delivered and installed.

I test drove one yesterday and I’m sold on it.
We are going to order one this week (as soon as I decide on a color). A new one is less money than a used one - crazy! The new one won’t get to us until May, but that’s ok for me. After my trade-in this car will be $18,000. Now I need to decide - charcoal grey, ruby red, dark blue or silver. Red is my favorite, but I have bad luck with red cars, so I think I’m going to not get that. I’m strongly leaning towards the dark blue. Decisions! Decisions!

I’m enjoying my afternoon coffee while watching the Olympics. I spent time yesterday and today going through the playroom and the closet in there, and I have so much that is now going to the thrift store. Lots & lots of games and DH’s clothes that don’t fit now. I stumbled across some sentimental items I forgot about like my Grandpa’s lab coat from when he worked at The University of Chicago and Katie’s Thanksgiving vest from Kindergarten - these were fun finds :goodvibes

I currently have a regular (gas engine, 2009) RAV4 and it's blue. - I do love the color!

I’m needing to go to the Toyota dealership later this morning to have my remote start fixed. Not being able to warm up my car when it’s single digits is a drag :cold:

I was feeling rather down this morning, woke up at 5 unable to go back to sleep. Sorry for myself, and the mishap on Friday that caused us to go back home instead of WDW. I realize I really use my left had a lot when I walk, so I am determined to walk around the block using my right hand on the cane to be more comfortable, and confident!

Took a shower and washed my hair myself, so feeling a bit better now. :)

Sorry to read that, Bobbi. I didn't know you cancelled the WDW part of your trip. I know you really like Festival of the Arts.
Hope you heal fast and get back to doing the things the way you like and are comfortable with
Thank you! Yes, we cancelled the week, and that means I didn’t get to meet Disney Lovin Iowan In person, plus all the other good things we planned.
Still, with a March UY it could have been worse, they banked the points from 2021 UY, and I have tentatively booked two nights later this month which would be extra, added on to a two night trip where some Grammar School friends are getting together in Epcot and Paddlefish. Hopefully, I will be able to use my left hand enough to ride an ECV!

How is your hand hurt?
Hope you can handle going

^ it’s not my hand, it’s upper left arm and shoulder strain. Thankfully there’s lots that I can do with my hand. I do think it’s getting better. From what I have read, maybe feel pretty much better in two weeks.

I’m so sorry to hear about this bobbi:hug:
I hope you continue to feel better :wizard:

I’m grabbing a bite for lunch and then heading back to work - pretty low key day today.

Tonight I’m practicing with Katie at the indoor training place she works at - it’s one of my favorite things to do. I’m going to really miss this when she’s away at school next year. 😢

Just finished baking......and DH did the shop work.
Dh headed off to a dentist appointment, so I get a little down time.
Watching TV for now.

Trying to research a hotel for June before a cruise.....very challenging to find what we want.
Need a shuttle from the airport to hotel and from hotel to cruise post.
Hard to find all the info and who has both. We're trying to narrow it down and will then have to make some phone calls (did I say I hate making phone calls!!)
