I'm.........

I assure you that the very last thing I would go out for today is a Blizzard! We had one today!

LOL!
I certainly would agree with that - you’ve had some rough weather.
Stay inside and stay warm and I hope your electricity doesn’t go out :wizard:

I normally wouldn’t go out for just a Blizzard, but I was coming home from church and decided to go. I needed a sweet treat - every weekend as I’ve been cleaning I broke something. Yesterday it was Katie’s vanity when I was moving it. DH made this himself and luckily he was able to fix it - he was the hero yesterday. He told me to stop cleaning - LOL!

Your DH sounds like a nice guy! Listen to him! You have done lots, and deserve a break!

We still do on line church.

Thanks bobbi….he is a good guy ❤️
I did take a break and watched some TV around 3:00pm - that was nice.
Pretty soon Katie will be in season again and my weekends will be jammed packed.

I’m having a busy day today.
Nurse has already came and went to give me my infusion - now I’ll be tired and very cold for the next couple of days, but especially today.
Went to the foot doctor to find out he wants to permanently remove my big toe nail due to ongoing problems I have with it - I gotta give that some thought. He dropped a bomb on me that he’s retiring in May which makes me sad - he’s a great doctor and a very nice man.
Next I’m heading to work - I have to be there at 1:00pm
Then tonight we sit and wait for snow - we should be getting about 12” when it’s done.
Not the greatest day, but there’s always blessings to be found even on yucky days.

Busy morning here too.....doctor appointment, hair appointment, then errands.
Just got back, had lunch.
Now I need to get the menu and shopping list done for next week and do a bit more cleaning.
DH had errands to run too......and hopefully ordering a dishwasher. We picked one out, so we'll see how long it will take to get it

.............sure but how was the drive...Al Roker shared with us that the trip should not have been that easy
Never was stop and go. In northern VA there were slow spots.

No slowing down in the I 95 Baltimore tunnel.

Its been good, really. We left home 9:30, and dropped Gus at kennel before we were truly on road.

Went across south NJ on 40, the National Road. We even have a bona fide rodeo venue in NJ, it’s on 40.

I am thinking about buying a can of brown spray paint.

Everyday after jeopardy the dog and I jump in the car and drive down the street and around the corner to park at the dead end. I guess the county felt sorry for the now million dollar hacienda and opted to create more space for them to build gates to access their property by vehicles/RVs/trailers, etc. Luckly this year they did not show up at the property so parking is abundant in front of their 2 metal gates along the dead end road. The dead end road is our access to our daily walk in our desert forest.

first though, the dog checks all the peemails left by other walkers and takes a few minutes with replys and sometimes emojis. then we step into the 100 year flood plain of the larger wash to our east. It is now a forest of mesquite trees, creosote trees , the oldest living organism on earth, needle trees which bloom glories yellow in may , locust tree and dead trees. Sandy paths soft for my dog's paw and my fallen left arch make the walk very comfortable and we are both very ritualist by habit walk. She looks for random messages, I visit the firecracker bush, the only blooming bush of color and the only one that I know of in the desert of our area. Our forest is truly unique to our area as it does not exist anywhere else in our Yuma area . I also look for rock that 3 colors of green like snake snake green.....but I have probably picked it all up as we tend to walk the same ATV trails that are soft... What I have also picked up is the unnatural orange color of the survey stake flags...It is all green and tan here in our forest and then your eye captured the bright orange....very unnatural and disturbing in the peace of desert harmony. jSomeone has just purchased the land so surveyors came out with their colors . I am afraid a joni mitchell song is in the future.

.....so I want to buy some brown spray paint and paint them a natural brown color

Well, no dishwasher, the one we wanted is out of stock and they don't know when it will be back.
Second choice is in stock, but can't get it until the 19th. We'll see. Might look at another brand

I am trying to stay awake as long as possible...wind is suppose to come in around 11 tonight, my bedroom window is right next to the pool and pool is covered with quick fix plastic cover, round for a pool...but just to lazy to run the fine line thru all the gromlets....so it flaps in the wind....image what it will do tonight with highest winds since we put it on in November....want to save the quality plastic for summer, so will invest in better solar sheet and cover come April 1st when farmer market is over, all the guests gone and bordeom draws us once more out to pool...which is really a mess now becasue we failed in cleaning correctly in september....but now we know what to do to clean

It’s so frustrating isn’t it?!
Our first choice for the new fridge was out of stock with no date and of course any white fridges are not an option. It stinks paying full price for a new item that’s not your first choice.
I hope you’re able to find something else you like and it doesn’t take a long time to get to you. :wizard:

Yep.....I could go up a step for that second choice, but really don't like the way it looks.
But at least it is just dishes and I can live without one.....gets tiring washing dishes all the time though. :rotfl:

I’m debating if I should attempt to go to work this morning.
It rained all day yesterday and then snowed all night, so the roads have ice and then are snow covered. So far we’ve got about 7” of snow. DH is on his way to work and once he gets there he’ll let me know if I should go to work or stay home.
Why do we live here??? :headache: :cold:
We stay because of our parents - I don’t want to leave them alone now.
When we are their age, I doubt we’ll be here, at least we won’t be here in the winter. I tell Katie all the time to look for a career somewhere warm so we can follow her.

ah....the parent issue......travel one winter to a southern climate and see how many have left their folks behind or brought there folks with them.....because what happens here in yuma....is that the children come and retrieve their parents back to the north because they can't spend time in the south caring for their parents . It is a borderline selfish/love/responsibility ying and yang situation ....which in the end Katie will bring you back to the north.

Baking and wood working day today. It got moved to today instead of yesterday because DD has a dentist appointment and so we have the kids while she does that.

So glad not to shovel snow. We once had 18" in western WA when we lived there. And lost the power. Snowed in for 5 days. Wasn't fun.....and very cold and not usual for that part of the state.

I am tired this morning. I didn’t sleep well, since I woke up very often.
