I'm.........

Have fun planning.
FP is pretty easy. I got everything we wanted. Had a hard time picking 3 some places.
Dining isn't too bad either. I think the only a couple are hard to get, like BoG.

We're going to AK today. Having dinner at Tiffins and seeing the tree awakening.

Never saw the tree awakening, what is that? Hope you are having a good time. I can see you in AK enjoying it. Go ride some rides for me.....:yay:

It is fairly new. They are doing more after dark things getting prepared for the River of Lights to come.
The tree comes a live starting with fireflies and then animating of the images and animals doing things. I will know more after tonight.
Doesn't last too long since it happens every 10 minutes

Does sound interesting, thanks for sharing. Maybe I will get to see it one day. Enjoy the day!

How was your day Nancy?

We're haven't finalized hotel plans for WDW; waiting on DVC rentals to pop up. I want to stay at the Polynesian either in a room (with a decent discount from a travel agent) or in a Poly Studio points rental.

Have you stayed in a Poly Studio yet?

Have a fun day and keep us informed!

Today was so much better at Epcot. They crowds have gone down a lot.....:yay: Should be a good week.
Going back later for Immuniations

We will staying in a studio at the Poly in Jan.

We didn't do any of the booth foods. They are all gone now and Christmas decorations are going up.
We ate at Biergarten one day, Rose and Crown one day and Chef's de France the third day.
Love Biergarten.....Chef's de France is off our list. Changed menu and raised prices too much.
Had a really good club sandwich at the Norway bakery

I'm glad to hear you are having a fun time at WDW! Looking forward to my cruise in January, it will be here before I know it- I'm sure! Time starts to fly between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

oh yes....going home to too much to do!
DS is having his knee surgery today.......so after TG, I become chauffeur.
Need to get Christmas decorations up at our house and theirs.
And we come back here to WDW Jan. 2..........that will be a very busy time.

Where are you going on your cruise. We went on a Disney cruise in March....Eastern
We have a non Disney cruise in March.....Southern. Looking forward to that.

Sounds like a good trip Nancy! Makes me more excited for ours! I used to love F & W when we went in Oct/Nov but sometimes it was so busy. We almost choose that time for 2017 but late April sounds nice right now.

We might be getting our first real snow in the mountains tonight; not at our house but definitely in our view!

Best wishes on DH's surgery Nancy....a good friend just went through the extensive recovery/rehab for this!

Ohhhh! Then you will be able to give the scoop! Is it standard or lake view?

We made our payment yesterday for a standard studio and I am getting so excited! We're saving $1600 from rack rate by renting points for six nights. Even an excellent TA discount for a regular Poly room would have only saved us about $900.

Be sure to take lots of pictures for me (even though there are quite a few on the net already) I can't get enough.

I'm stopping DISsing for a couple hours while I do my bi-weekly house cleaning (UGH but necessary).

Standard view. We have to save up points.....family trip coming in Oct. 2018.

DS's surgery went well. He is home in the recliner now. We'll see how it goes. He is for sure off until after TG and has the potential to be off another week after that so we'll see.

Bobbi....Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam wa soso at best. DH hated it.
It had fun Christmas music, snow. The fireworks were pretty sparse until the end.
The story was very disjointed.
Glad we saw it once, but no need for it again.

Well, that's a disappointment.

We have had a crazy week. Belle's arthritis was terrible on Monday, we needed help carrying her downstairs, and eventually after much medication and rest, she began to feel better after 6 hours. We got her to our vet and once again she helped us determine it was not Belle's "time." She has been with the vet since Monday afternoon and meds are being determined and the vet can evaluate liver functions etc.

Meanwhile we have been in Pigeon Forge. We saw Dolly Parton's Pure and Simple concert which I think has been her best! We've been to about 6 of her concerts over 10 years.

Today and yesterday we've enjoyed Christmas celebrations in Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. Tomorrow we head home, and meet with vet. We have gotten good news about Belle's condition. Our WDW plans are changing, we are flying down, skipping Hilton Head. We want to leave Belle in Ohio, not NJ. We want to do what's best for her, and so far her vet says it's by giving the new meds a chance.

Tom and I stayed in a Poly studio last summer and we really enjoyed it. My "problem" is the pool which was not good for me to do my exercises, not deep enough in a large enough space. The "quiet" pool was just being built, so I do not know if it's what I need. BLT's pool doesn't really work for me either. I really enjoy using, Jambo's, BCV, BWV's and the pool at SSR's Congress Park. We had a lake view studio on the second floor and had great firework viewing.

Home tomorrow, then leaving for Cape May on Sunday.

Our cruise in January is Bahamas on the Dream. Originally planned in order to be there for Marathon Weekend, as the 5k on Castaway Cay the day we will be there gets a special medal. (different from the 5K medal you can get at any time on CC.) BUT... after having foot surgery in mid-May, I find I am not fully recovered yet. Had a hard time keeping up with the walking at WDW earlier this month, so I doubt I am ready for a 5K. (Not to mention, not doing any training at home because I still haven't been on a treadmill because of the numbness that persists in my foot.) So, the cruise stands... but we may skip the 5K. or try to walk it, really, really slowly?

Hope DS has quick recovery from knee surgery!

I'm.......sooooooo glad that now is 'unofficially' the start of the weekend!
