I'm.........

@slo , maybe Apollo Beach on the gulf side. Also, today is the Epiphany Mass, and when I was growing up, during the Christmas holidays, the priests from my Polish parish would come, visit homes in the spirit of the Magis. They would bless the homes, and mark the doors with initials of Magi and the year. Some people still do it, as I did today. Mark the home and pray for family.

We are home. Tom is picking up Gus and will do some basic shopping. I am doing laundry and will put away crèches.

Fixing lunch. Not nearly as accomplished regarding Christmas decorations as I had hoped.

I'm enjoying my last couple of days with Katie before she heads back to school on Saturday. She has more 3 more sleeps in her bed until she returns home in May.

We are now trying to figure out her housing for next year. We considered a mobile home, but we have now decided NO to that. She may rent an apartment with 2 others girls, but now someone may have a home to rent. So many decisions - it kinda makes me head hurt. We want to get her out of her dorm so she has somewhere to live in the summer and Christmas Break in case she gets an internship opportunity. It's a wait and see, and since I'm a super planner, just waiting and seeing is out of my comfort zone - LOL!!!

My DS rented houses with other students twice, and I didn't really love either situation. If she goes that route, I would lean toward an apartment building with an organized maintenance situation over a random landlord In a stand-alone unit, duplex, etc.

Also, talk to your DD and make sure that she would be really comfortable bringing up things like cleaning, group purchases, etc. with her roommates.

I found out that I needed a new tool before I can do my outside work. Today we got the tool. I also realized that 45° in the winter, in shade is not the best outside weather to work in. I was chilly for the little while I was out there working with a cutting tool that wasn’t cutting it.

Luckily, the girls she would possibly share an apartment with already have one, and she’s there all the time, so she sees how they live, which is good so there’s no surprises. These girls are teammates, so they will be on the same schedule, which is also a good thing. It’s so weird to think of her living on her own in an apartment - I know she can handle it though, which puts my mind at ease. We’ll see what happens.

Did your new too, not work Bobbi?
It stinks when you get something new, you’re excited to use it and then it’s a dud 🙁

DD is now waiting for the paperwork for her DVC contract to come through.
Buyers were excited to sell, so she got a good price.
Of course now she is impatient to get it finalized and start planning :rotfl:

DS hasn't decided yet

Which resort did your DD buy? Glad she got a good price, Meriweather!

I’m moving to Beach Club Villas today. Hoping our room is ready early! I had a rough night. :guilty:

I’m doing my yearly washing walls around here - never a good time - LOL!

@Meriweather - thanks for posting on the diabetes thread, but I see something happened to you. Are you doing ok? Let us know.
