... we've just started bombing Kabul, Afghanistan...to think what I was thinking a couple of minutes ago was about the Eagles game, the Emmys, and homework...shows what the impact just a coule minutes can have :(

I know that feeling...I was just there, doing reascrech on the PC, then I looked over and there was that headline...

Is this going to be a problem for broadcasting the Emmys tonight? They have already delayed it once!

Oh God.

This is the first I've heard of it.

I had so many fun posts planned in my head, but that just seems wrong now.

I feel sick.

My best friend has family in Afghanistan, I'm going to see how she's holding up.

:(

PigSoldier- I hope your friend's family is OK!! and I know what you're saying- like when i came onto the DIS today and had all these posts I wanted to start but then I went on the CB and found out about this...

MickeyMoose- they said the emmys are still going to go on- heard it on E!

actually MickeyMoose- just heard the emmys were cancelled...

Yes, the Emmy have been cancelled. No word on what they are going to do now that they have to move once again.

thats horrible suzi, i hope eveythings ok! I think since this is basically the beginning of a war i'd be concerned with things other then the emmys but i guess it is disappointing that theyre canceled. :)

i just realized that was off topic and mean..sorry:D

I've been gone since 12:00 and didn't get back until 4:30 and my dad just told me about it when we got back. It's pretty sad that they we have to bomb Afghanistan, now I'm really scared that they're just going to get us right back!

how am I supposed to concerate to study when all of this is going on!!

I do back their decision though...we warned then..we attacked.
am I scared they are gonna retaliate and cause an all out war...yeah but Im trying not to think about that too much now.

Suzi-I hope your friends family is ok!!!

sam- don't worry- that wasn't that mean- actually when I first heard that question I had the same reaction, but didn't post it- don't worry! :)

Juliana- omg i know! like i can't do homework like this!

also you're right- they we warned and b/c they didn't cooperate they get what we said they were going to get- it's just a lot worse when it actually happens... :(

<font color=blueviolet size=3>*sigh* I hate all of this... I wish things just could go back to the way they were before 9/11... it IS amazing how much difference a few minutes can make....

We have to bomb them to show that we will not allow this sort of trechory in our country.

England must be in more fear since they are helping the United States but they have not been hit just yet! :(

I just saw Bin Laden on the news, saying that he will fight back. :(

I know what you mean Meg, everything before 11/9 seems so far away, like a dream. I wonder what life would be like if 11/9 had never happened.....

My best friend, Kanwal is really, really worried. The majority of her family left Afghanistan and moved to Pakistan or England years ago, but some of them still live in Kabul. I wish I could help her, but she goes to a different college from me, so all I could do was talk to her on the phone.

I live near an airport and everytime a plane goes over, I get so scared. I was talking to one of my friends yesterday, and he started explaining to me why it was logical that London would be the terrorist's next target. Great. I did not sleep well last night.

i worry more about the friends that i have that are in the resereves. i know a couple people whoo had to leave to go. i pray everyday that they are ok. at first i thought that bombing was the wrong thing to do but i have realized that it was our only option. there won't be a jihad, because they are radicals of the faith and they will have no backing from the religion. i know there will be retalition and i hope we can stop them before they get the chance

This defenately scares me.... I live really close to an Air Force Base, and its weird- nobody (my friends and family) really noticed the planes- because they fly by constantly... but now, every time a plane goes by... people stop and look up.... it is defenately scary
**Good Bless America**

<font color=blueviolet size=3>It's really scary... one of my old friends, Calvin, who is also in my Law class is being called out to war in March. It's so scary to think that someone MY age is going to be out there fighting... :( I wish this could all be over, it really sucks that it's going to be long & drawn out... but i guess that's the only way that it's going to stop.... :(
